I think if the contact is after the ball is let go and thus cannot affect the shot, it should be 2 free throws and the result of the shot. It's risky for both team. If he misses, they get two free throws. If he makes it, it could be five points.

Scratch that, that's too much. But I think if the foul is after they release the ball, they should not get three free throws. So maybe if it's made, only one shot. Unique situation. 4 is the maximum points.
