Sims is big time, and one of the most popular guys in all of the 757. He is going to be a magnet drawing even more of the elite guys from that region.

The Hoos will only have 3 upperclassman QBs - Rocco - Jr, Sims - So, Watford - So, Lambert and Johns - Tr F, Marshall and Cutler - '13 recruits.

Depending on how things go in summer camp, there is a chance that Watford could take his redshirt this season which he could use. So the spacing works out pretty well.

The QB disaster of Al Groh is officially over.

Rocco looked very good in the spring and played well against Auburn. He's brought his game around very nicely. Sims is the real deal, though, and it is mainly a matter of how well and quickly he learns the offense and connects with the WRs. But since Alabama runs a pro style offense, I don't think he will have much trouble. And on top of that, the Sims to Tim Smith pair was awesome in HS, so they've already got a lot of experience with each other, and 2 years together to go.

Awesome.

Based on the observations of some very reliable sources close to the program, Philip Sims is as advertised. Team members comments are that he is the real deal, and is showing it every day working out with the receivers. The guy has an arm, and knows what to do with the ball. On time, every time. FYI.
