I know Stamos just got 3 hits and all, however I seriously doubt that he'll ever be what we need.

What's the chance that we could land Lowrie for this push? I know he's 28 and injury prone, but 28 is the start of your prime, and this could be a move that pays off for the next 5 seasons.

He'd probably cost more than we want to give up. We could probably get him for Hector Sanchez. Not sure I'd make that trade, but maybe.

Who wouldn't want a middle infielder who can OPS .855 and isn't a free agent until 2015? I'd guess, it would take at least Gary Brown and Tommy Joseph.

With JW actually developing into a potential MLB backup catcher, it further makes Hector more expendable.

ToJo may be ready for a cup by this September and a backup role by mid next year as well.

I think I would make the C3PO / Lowrie deal as well.

Would Houston?

How would you rank Lowrie's defense guys? And does he have enough power to hit home runs outside of Houston?

I wouldn't think so.

Looks like he's roughly league average at 3B, SB, and SS. And it looks like his HR total would be cut about in half at AT&T

Half?

I see 4 HRs @ MinuteMaid that would not be HRs at AT&T, while 9 would be HRs in both parks. That is more of a 1/3 decrease. Of course, this assumes equal altitude, humidity, wind, game condition, pitcher, etc...

Dude, I'm trying to negotiate here, and you're blowing my patter.... Seriously though, he wouldn't get the same distance in the wet air of AT&T, plus you've got to factor in the height of the right field wall. I'd normally downgrade his power a bit also for the bigger ball parks and better pitching all around in the NL West, but this year, SD and COL are looking like crap, so maybe that's not much of a factor this year.

I dont disagree that his numbers would take a hit, and for the exact reasons you mentioned. Just that if you are going to post a graph that shows a 1/3 decline, then claim a 1/2 decline with no explanation, you are looking awfully Tommy/TruNiner...

You're supposed to be smart enough to realize 375ft in a Texas dome equals about 365ft in the night air of San Francisco.

NOW do you see it? BAM Educated.

I see what you did there. JW, ToJo.

You will pay for that.

Larger factor would be the 24 foot wall in RF. My take: more than half of his HRs this year at MM would not go out at ATT, irrespective of marine air considerations. Look where he hits em.

You know I already mentioned the right field wall, right? You're just quibbling over which is the bigger factor?

Both of you just put your factors on the table so we can all judge which is bigger...

In an ironic twist, gp's actually crediting the cold for the size of his factor
