Not sure I like the idea as it kind of reeks of when MLB tried to make the All-Star game more important by awarding the team whose league won the ASG home field in the World Series, even if the other team had a better record. It's an attempt to make something meaningless, more important.

Having said that, it would at least be using something the team actually won.

i would be for it. i would even be for just counting the extra games as wins and losses. There should be advantages for winning the thing. Fans of other teams dont want rival teams to get that advantage? maybe their team should win it then.

That's why the Lakers best and maybe only real chance to beat them would be in the 1st round. Catch them shaking off some rust before they are in full playoff mode.

It would also benefit them to figure out a way to slow Murray and for D-Lo to play better.

Those 2 things, imo, are what cost them that series.

Murray averaged 20 ppg game in the regular season last year and averaged 32.5 in the WCF.

Meanwhile, D-Lo averaged 17.4 in the regular season and averaged 6.3 in the WCF.

If the Lakers has been able to hold Murray closer to his regular season average and/or D-Lo had scored closer to his regular season average, there's a solid chance that the Lakers win that series.

Don't remember exactly which game it was last season during the WFC but I still remember Jokic hitting a crazy 3 as the shot clock was about to run out and the look on AD's face. AD was all over him and he still made the shot.

Yeah, it's part of what makes this interesting (and possibly part of why it wasn't really pursued) as he's only 4 years older than her. It's not like he was in his late or even mid 20's. If he was 22 and she was 18...nobody cares.

Yeah, that needs to be revised. I'd say that if a guy was only playing 19 or so minutes early in the season and his minutes go up as the season progresses and it wasn't due to injury to another player...then it would seem like that would actually strengthen his case for MIP.

yeah thats what i was referring to as the title game counting towards standings. there has been some pushback on here to that idea.

He just played in the most games he's played in since 2016-17 (68) and it's looking like he may not be available for at least some, if not all, playoff games...but he's good to play in the Olympics?

All fun and games until it forces you to miss the playoffs or drop your seeding. I can imagine the crying of any fanbase if they count the title game of the in season tourney and that is the difference in you being a 10 seed instead of a 7

Truth be told I even see it how he does that it's not a big deal under circumstances (that being certainly could argue didn't know her age)....but also not hard to see why what he did gets some laughs.
