This is one thing I will actually miss this year (especially after last year, which was probably my best Mock Draft ever).

Some thoughts.

Rams will trade up with the Vikings to Draft Kalil, they will give up 3 picks and still have either a 1st and 2nd from the Skins or 2 2nds. Either way gaining 2 Draft Picks and Drafting the best LT is a WIN WIN.

Bucs will trade down and draft the LB from BC (cant spell his last name).

Minnesota will take Blackmon with the #6 pick.

Bills will take DeCastro even if they cant move down a few spots.

The Rams aren't going to trade up to get Kalil. They're going to stay where they are & take Blackmon.

im not in total dispute with you, I especially also see coples busting. I just am not sold Upshaw can play a true 3-4 DE in the NFL. I think Perry is a safer pick if you're committed to that position and slot. If you're committed to Upshaw, I think you have to trade down because nobody is going to take him that soon unless his end of the month workout is beastly . He plays amazingly disciplined anyways, and has great recognition from what I've seen. Why put him in a position that takes away some of the need for these attributes ? Also how much would he lose in speed if he bulks up some so he can keep bullrushing over the blockers?

I would want him to stay at his current size which is why I like him as a 4-3 edge guy. He is thick enough to stunt inside and the Jaguars defense got a lot better last season with the Knighton and Alualu having good years. i didn't know we were trading this year or I would have shopped the pick. i was torn between him and Ingram, honestly and would rather have picked around 12.

My Top 15 Players. If I could take any 15 players I wanted these are who I would take in order.
1. Luck - QB
2. Kalil - LT
3. Griffin - QB
4. Couples - DE
5. Richardson - RB(as long as he is not hiding an Injury)
6. Ingram - DE
7. Kuechley - LB (sp?)
8. DeCastro- OG
9. Hill - WR
10. Cox - DT
11. Jenkins - CB
12. Claibourne - CB
13. Glenn - OG/OT
14. Kirkpatrick - CB
15. Mercilus - DE

I know you can't coach speed or height, but this guy is WAY too raw to be a top 10 pick

Yes, but reality does intervene, especially if you've just traded the farm to get to #2 for a 'franchise QB'.

I agree. Having Hill ahead of Blackmon & Floyd is a joke. I guess Doom follows the Al Davis way of thinking. Speed is all that matters. Obviously it doesn't work because the Raiders have SUCKED for years.

Every WR that comes out of a option offense will be raw. And contrary to what you think. Hills body control is better than Any other WR in the Draft ( I am not saying he will be picked first, He Wont!). If I am going to pick a WR that is not Calvin Johnson in the Top 10 I want a guy that has all the Tools.
Blackmon does not have the Speed
Floyd does not have the Quickness or Toughness (how many possession WRs make it without Quickness or Toughness let alone Both?)(Also Roy and Mike Williams (USC not Syracuse))
From a purely grading aspect, Hill is the best WR prospect in this Draft.

Blackmon & Floyd both ran sub 4.5 40's. They have the speed. I wouldn't take a WR as raw as Hill in the 1st round let alone the top 10. There's more to being a WR than being able to run fast. He needs to be able to run routes. A team picking in the top 10 shouldn't use it's pick on a player who's going to take 2 to 3 years to develop.

Keyshawn Johnson ran a sub 4.5 40. And while Blackmon reminds me of Keyshawn, Floyd is a soft non quick player.

Nickell Robey is 5'8" 165 and he DOMINATED Floyd. Stole a catch from him and turned it into an INT to seal the game too.

Floyd is soft and has NO Quickness.
Remember when Jimmy Clausen was the Most NFL Ready QB?
Remember when Ryan Mallet was the Most NFL Ready QB?

NFL ready is BS.

With the 16th overall pick of 2012 NFL draft, the New York Jets select Nick Perry, DE, USC.

I never thought Clauson was going to be a starting QB in the NFL. Mallet is learning from Tom Brady & Belichek. It worked out well for Matt Cassel & Mallet has much more talent than Cassel has.

Floyd is moving up draft boards. He might go in the top 10. My team signed Meachem & Eddie Royal to go with Malcom Floyd & Vincent Brown. They aren't going to take a WR in the 1st round anyway. Defense or OL.

I've been saying this since the combine. Michael Floyd does NOT run as fast on the field as he did at the combine.
