Not going round-by-round, but I'll do a mini-recap of what went right and what went wrong for my team (draft round)

Hurts (3)
Bijan (1), James Cook (5), M Sanders (6), K Herbert (7), S Perine (9), Gainwell (11)
AJ Brown (2), Amari Cooper (4), B Cooks (8), J Dotson (10)
J Fergusen (13)
Seattle DST (14) & Seattle K (12)

Had set out with plans to go RB-heavy early, that's why I "moved back" to pick 6 when earlier selections were available. even did a few mocks and seemed to really like the RBs that came back to me in round 2 after getting one of my top 6 or 7 RBs but that definitely didn't happen. There were no Rhamondre's or Josh Jacob's sitting around at pick 18 so I shifted and grabbed AJB. Figured I'd resume RB-heavy in round 3 but then Fuzz took Burrow immediately following TLance taking Mahomes so I stacked Eagles passing attack, then hammered RBs in the middle rounds, hoping 2 are useful in support of Bijan throughout the season.

Totally punted on TE and DST until the end, so I'll join several others in attempting to stream some of those options if Ferguson doesn't get the lion's share of Dak's TE targets.

good luck all

what went wrong:
- didn't get as many early round RBs as I had wanted to
- always felt like the RB and WR depth was better than the TE value until there wasn't any TE value left
- QB too early but wanted to get one with rushing upside

what went right:
- even though I didn't go RB-heavy early as planned, I liked where I got the guys I got behind Bijan (JCook RB22 off board, Sanders RB27, Herbert RB32)
- building depth vs forcing TE/DST when I knew I'd most likely change those starters early regardless

My recap
QB- Burrow (3), Cousins (11)
RB- Ekeler (1), Cam Akers (4), Tank Bigsby(10), McKinnon (12)
WR- Devante Adams (2), Christian Kirk (6), Dionte Johnson (7), Sutton (9), Jameson Williams (14)
TE- Darren Waller (5)
DST- PHI (8)
K- McPherson (13)

Thought about Jefferson with the first pick but with this group decided to take RB, Ekeler. Burrow needs to get healthy so I don't have to ride with Cousins. Counting on Akers rebound or my RB group will be light. Was very happy to get Waller in the 5th as he was my TE target. Strong WR group led by DeVante but the next three should also be good. 2nd best DST and a decent kicker.
Should be OK this year barring injury or unforeseen circumstances.

Well this is BS...............I think my team should be ranked 13th.............I never really pay attention to byes unless I plan on drafting 2 QB's or TE's but after round 5 I had myself painted into a corner, with guys that had week 9 byes I wanted but yeah, could not take.

You really disappointed me in rounds 4 and 5

Had 3 guys I loved that I didn’t think should have still been on the board.

Thought really good chance I would get 2.

I picked the one I thought you were most likely to take, and sure enough you took the other 2.

My draft from pick 2

1- Chubb
2- Garrett Wilson
3- Mahomes
4- Jahmyr Gibbs
5- McLaurin
6- Goedert
7- Brian Robinson
8- Godwin
9- Achane
10- Dallas
11- JSN
12- Tyler Bass (auto pick, I briefly feel asleep)
13- d. Foreman
14- Denver

First 4 rounds went almost perfectly according to plan. Got Chubb who is my RB1 in standard, got Wilson who I believe has a sky high ceiling as my WR1, and I got Mahomes in round 3.

Was prepared to take an elite QB in round 2, but when Mahomie and Hurts were both available at 23, I could wait.

Sam screwed me up in round 5, I made a mistake in round 7 taking Robinson. I didn’t even see Mattison on the board or I would have taken him for sure.

All in all, solid draft for me, and I look forward to seeing how it plays out.

LOL.

So I got it right!

If I had taken Ridley, would you have taken both RBs?

Because that was the direction I almost went.

Seriously had Sun God and Wilson in Que..............lol...............and yes, I would have taken both RB's (and been in even bigger Bye week trouble) but yeah, that was the plan.

Milk's Draft

1. Kelce- all the players i wanted were taken... he was BPA for me
2. Najee Harris- clearly i am high on him as i have drafted him in all of my leagues so far... but usually in the third... but with so many RBs taken i had to take him in the 2nd
3. Deebo- wasnt positive about this pick... probably would not have made it again, but its not a bad pick...
4. Metcalf- I really wanted to take a RB... but i saw the ones available and thought, Hey MILK YOU CAN GET THEM NEXT ROUND... but of course, the ones i liked went BEFORE my next pick
5. Justin Fields- Best QB available, and they were going fast... went for the safe floor with his rushing game, and the Highest ceiling
6 James Conner- Hated this pick... but i had to do it...
7. Kamara- only missing 3 games... thought this was my BEST value pick of the draft...
8. Penny- Man, the RB pool got washed out... Had to take the last RB that i had any confidence in...
9. Pitt defense- biggest mistake of my draft... I like them a lot... but i wanted to get a top defense who also had a good week one matchup... steelers were not that
10. Zach Charbonet- Bench time, Love getting the if he starts in real life he starts in fantasy type players...
11. Sky Moore- could have waited for this pick... but i only had 2 WRs on my team, i wanted to get a high ceiling #3
12. Leonard Fournette- my options would have been better if i took my last RB in round 11, was looking at spears... for the same reason i took CHarbonet.... But i was set to take a RB no matter what... Fournette has the upside of taking over a RB situation that he lands in...
13. Nick Folk- kicker- who cares... but i was looking for a kicker on a run first offense and an old school team... these teams are content getting Field goals...
14. Washington defense- week one they face the cardinals... do i have to say anything more...

Ok.

That makes me feel a lot better about the choice I made.

And the connection between McLaurin and Howell looks pretty strong. Looks like a decent fall back assuming the current injury isn’t anything serious

So I drafted at the #1. I think CMac has a great year so yeah, I wanted to make sure I got him! Downside of taking that slot is/was knowing I'd have to reach fer a guy if I wanted him and that's pretty much how it went. I think Dak will bounce back this year so I took him a bit early but didn't figure he'd get back to me. TLance sniped me a few times but I had options (really would have loved Wilson/Sun God though). I believe the Titan TE is gonna be a stud if Trannyhill can stay semi-healthy. My 2 WR fliers? Well Moore seems to MAYBE have found a home? But can he find the magic injury repellent that he seems to need? Hodgins came on at the end of last year so hopefully he can build on that with Danny Dimes.
I think the biggest mistake I made was not keeping an eye on my bye weeks until it was too late! In all of my other leagues our roster sizes are big enough that byes really aren't an issue. Gonna have to drop half of my team in week 7 and the other half in week 9..........lol.
My Team
QB Dak 7th
RB CMac 1st
RB Waker 3rd
WR Sun God 2nd
WR Ridley 5th
FLEX Pierce 4th
TE Titan that I still can't pronounce his name 9th
K Elliot 14th
D J.E.T.S. 10th

Bench
RB White 6th
RB DHarris 11th
WR MBrown 8th
WR EMoore 12th
WR IHodgins 13th

BTW, every single mock I did had me choosing between NHarris, RStevenson and Mixon at the turn. In this league I know they wouldn't all 3 be there but damn, thought maybe one of them would be?

I was struggling pre draft deciding between Henry and Chubb. Tlance made that decision easy for me.

From the #4
RB - Henry
RB - Mixon (wasn’t thrilled, but have 500 carries after two rounds)
WR - Smith (could be better than his teammate A.J.)
QB - Lawerence (I feel big progress coming…wanted to stack with Ridley)
TE - Hockensen (back and forth vs Kittle)
WR - Evans (even Baker can throw it to him)
….kicking myself for missing both Conner and Kamara)
RB - Mattison (I puked in my mouth a little)
WR - Davis (Gabe is the way)
RB - Mostert (no hype, all work)
WR - Thomas (Drew Brees is starting right?)
DST - Baltimore (vs Houston week one)
RB - Wilson (hope Archane sucks)
RB - Jackson (can this Deon be neon? Doubtful)
K - Maher in mile high

The IttyBittySmittyCommitty 2023

12th spot

Pollard
Ettiene
Higgins
Jonathon Taylor
Christian Watson
Mike Williams
Antonio Gibson
Michael Pittman
Pat Friermuth
Jerry Judy
Spears
Jake Moody
Jacksonville
Russell Wilson

Went in assuming I’d be in a position to grab elite receivers early at the first turn, then load up on running backs. Went the other way.

Feel I reached for Ettiene, but I’m okay with it.

Friermuth was the last of my starting TE targets. So I went TE earlier than I might have assumed. Even though I think I was second to last in taking a TE.

Feel good about Pittman as my 4th receiver.

Was prepared to take a QB about 4 times, but each of those times my target was gone by the time I was OTC. Never have waited to the last round for a QB. Never intentionally went with streaming the position either. So this will be a new experience for me.

A lot riding on Taylor actually playing. And a little on Judy coming back sooner rather than later. Actually pumped to have Jake Moody. Monster leg on a team with a buttload of offensive talent. Felt he was one of the best picks in the draft back in the spring.
