I told everyone on this board months ago that my personal belief is Logan Gilbert is the Ace of our staff

I have not changed my mind

I am really not sure who our Ace is. I don't see a lot of difference between Castillo, Gilbert, and Kirby. All can be an Ace one day and a good #2 on another. I think that is good thing and I hope we don't mess with it.

Just got home from the game a little bit ago, what a great game to go see considering the madness of this 2023 Mariners season. The way they came out in the first inning, firing on all cylinders, this team is gonna fight till the end. Who knows how the season ends, but we have some scrappers no doubt about it. Take one if not both remaining in this series and its full court press heading into the deadline Tuesday, I just hope Jerry goes all in one way or the other. No pussy footin here, make the team better!

Remember when Carlton Fisk got in Deion Sanders face for disrespecting the game? It was May of 1990, Fisk was with the White Sox, Sanders with the Yankees. I’ll let Fisk tell the story:

Ty France is batting exactly where he belongs ( bottom 1/3rd of the line up )

His 1st inning at bat - down swinging strike out. He swung at a 3rd strike curve ball that bounced on the plate.

he is a zoo for the past 6-8 weeks

This is why I’m wondering if Seattle a massive deal with St Louis, the Mariners could add France and get Goldschmidt in the deal since France is a lot more cheaper and controllable since they aren’t going full rebuild.

Castillo for sure is the number 1 IMO but problem is the Mariners suck when he pitches. I read somewhere where it’s actually worse than Felix.

Back in the Felix day there was an old question: Who is better 1) a Pitcher that has a 3.00 ERA but his team scores 2 or less runs for him or 2) a Pitcher with a 4.00 ERA but his team scores 5 or more runs for?
