That's cool! I didn't know you did that. I took a year of Greek and one semester of Hebrew. I'm pretty rusty on the Greek and never really learned much on Hebrew. It was an intro class and the teacher required very little of us. And I put in very little work for that class.

I took Greek at Cal before grad school. Our "professor" was an adjunct. He worked as a garbage man from 5am-2pm, and then went home, showered, and showed up for class in the late afternoon. He was really good. I do get confused over the 28 kinds of genitives in in Greek, though.

My Greek professor in grad school was pretty cool. For the first hour, he had the class sing the Greek alphabet: alpha-beta-gamma-delta-epsilon....... Most of the class didn't know the Greek letters, and this stuck the order in their heads.

For the final exam (I took 12 units, a year's worth, in one quarter), he began by showing this clip from The Life of Brian. Everyone cracked up, and we were more relaxed for the actual final.

That is some dedication. You mean he couldn't live off an adjunct's salary?

Well, one of the tasks in my, er, profession, is to work on the original languages of the Bible. I am fairly proficient in the Greek text, but I have never mastered Hebrew, nor will I in this lifetime. No complete edition, but lots of fragments translated.
Have you ever read “The Story of B” Stokes?

Buehler has settled into a groove as well. Hopefully, we can get more runs off him (or his relief) in the 7th inning.

Webb is having quite the evening. Glad to see he's stepping up. Just need the offense to do the same (if we need more runs).
