I'm watching the movie about Allen Turing, and thinking how relevant it could be. Everyone laughed at him. Everyone was picked for being very smart, so well above average, probably all geniuses, and they all could not understand what Turing was doing and they all laughed at him and yet he ended up being the only one who knew what was going on and it was he who cracked the Enigma Code, not any of his brilliant companions.

YES, UMn is THE BEST hockey program in the UNITED STATES of AMERICA. Michigan and Denver depended heavily on Canadian talent, much older than American college students, neither did anything to benefit the American game. Both did things only for short term selfish gain. UMn did more for the game of hockey in the United States compared to any other school and it's not even close.

Evidence being? # of UMners in the US Hockey Hall of Fame? UMn FAR outdoes Michigan and Denver and Wisconsin and UND in this regard.

# of players who played for the US Olympic team? UMn produced TWICE AS MANY players as the 3rd place college program. UMn produced 54, the 2nd best produced like 42, the 3rd best produced only 27. And that's just on the men's side. The women's side of the coin ALSO sees more Gophers than any other team.


UMners CHOSE to recruit only Minnesotans, and no Canadians, and worked hard to build up hockey in America, instead of giving another country another way to help out their players.


It's what has set Minnesota apart from every other loser hockey program out there.
