Would take a lot of things to work out ideally for ASU to win the South unless the rest of the division is all mediocre, and I suspect USC will be pretty damn good. I like the ASU defense, and they've got a QB. Offensive line is patchwork and relying on transfers. Iffy on the receivers and running backs returning, but they did load up there in the previous recruiting cycle. Apparently the two 4-star running backs have looked really, really good.

USC gets to the UCLA game at 9-1

At a minimum, you have losses to Oregon and Alabama.

Helton has consistently shown an ability to lose games against lesser competition as well. Book USC losing 2 of those games

Nope. Alabama maybe because they still have Alabama defense but no one else can stop 2nd year Slovis with all the receivers and then Stepp running . Oregon has a good defense but USC will still score plenty and Oregon wont be able to keep up with (insert who ever they pick ) throwing the ball.

USC won't break 25 points vs. Oregon

Also...Oregon's defense is better than Bama's.

I was going to say the same thing. Oregon’s defense is better than Bama’s yet he gives credit to their D. No way SC is winning in Autzen.

USC will score 38
Oregon will score 26

Oregons defense is not better than Bamas. You're pulling an AG.

LOL. Hey its pre season. I'm allowed to dream right.

As far as defense talk. Yes Oregon had a very good defense last season but come on now. Alabama had unprecedented amount of injuries to their defense last season. So it wasn't typical Bama defense but they have all that talent coming back with four years of top recruiting classes. Not like top ten classes , like top 1 classes.
When i think great PAC defenses you can't top the one at USC where Clay Mathews couldn't crack the starting LB corps.
