Why the hell would you want to travel to this game every year? It’s stupid to play games like this at a neutral site. Takes a major home game off your schedule every other year.

The people who say this are people who do not have an annual neutral site rivalry game. The WLOCP is a tradition that goes back generations. Its like a bowl game in the middle of the season......a really good bowl game not some low rent crappy one where the fans don't enjoy themselves. If we go home and home it will be just another rivalry. Screw that. The WLOCP is unique. It is part of the history and tradition of both programs. I hope we keep it forever.

Holy shit. THIS SUCKS!!!

Jacksonville Landing approved for demolition, likely before Georgia-Florida game

On Tuesday night, the Jacksonville City Council voted 15-1 on Tuesday to approve an $18-million deal that sets the stage for the city to demolish the Landing

Fuck you, Jacksonville City Council. You murdered a legend.

The Landing only really made sense as a place for downtown workers to get lunch and as a night spot. But the idiots ran the bars out. That doomed the place. If they had had half a brain they would have brought more bars IN rather than driving out the ones they had. I enjoyed the place. I remember when they built it. I remember seeing Steppenwolf perform live there and several post Cocktail Party bashes there and just going there on a hot day to enjoy frozen drinks at Fat Tuesdays enjoying the view by the river. But once they ran the bars out there was absolutely no reason to ever go back and I didn't.

That's not relevant to the topic.

I'm going to have to drink a few in memory of The Jacksonville Landing. Drank there underage when we beat WVU in 89, scored some strange when we lost to Syracuse in 96, watched my wife get drunk for the first time there when we played VT in 01. Lots of great memories at The Landing.

Absolutely 100% agree. We've destroyed enough traditions in this country. Don't fuck with this one.

The WLOCP is a party that spans 100 miles of coastline for a week. It's a border war. It's what makes the GA/FLA rivalry a special one.

Never knew that. Booze was running through the streets when I went years ago.

What a shame.

How often did you like to go?
I have two little kids so not regularly. Before kids my wife and I went somewhat regularly. Once a month or so
