The playoffs need to just sack up and do home field semifinals so fans don't get travel fatigue. I'm predicting to be able to go to the stadium and get in for single digit prices, if not free. Vivid Seats has FCS championship for $79 while FBS they have listed for $71. Wow.

It also may have to do with the teams in them. It’s the 3rd of 4 years the same two teams are in the NC. If tickets were hellish expensive some might just say fuck it, we’ll wait til next year(s).

Wouldn't you rather hear Air Supply's groan-inducing songs than have to sit through that poser Dan Reynolds?

For when you'd rather be Lost in Love than in football.

When it’s the same two teams most years and both teams have won the title, generally that is a once in a lifetime trip. With both teams making it so frequently it kills interest from random fans from buying tickets (speculating) and also from those fans who recently made the trip.

Case and point, I went to the title game in ‘03 and spent a ton of money (way overpaid but worth it). After paying that much money, when LSU played Ohio State I couldn’t do it. I was also in high school with no money.

 @ people trying to hook agendas and their own bitches up as reasons. How typical, let's just believe what makes us warm and fuzzy and fuck trying to see a logical reason.

Real reason: The game is in San Jose and features 2 teams from the other side of the country. Go ahead and get the price of a plane ticket from Atlanta or Birmingham to San Jose on a week's notice, or even if you planned in advanced with 2+ weeks notice.

It's about $1000 just for that. PER PERSON. Then that area is not a cheap place to stay, so if you want a room for 2 or 3 nights you're looking at $150-$200 a night minimum. And of course, renting a car or using local transports, etc.

vs a game in Atlanta where the bulk of both fan bases are within 6-8 hours driving distance, you can just make the drive, rent in a cheap room overnight outside of town and so on. All those people in that short distance = high demand.

But sure, it's a grave sign that college football needs to change.

I spent nothing on the ALCS I went too.

It was a game the Detroit Tigers were in - and they won.

True story. Wonder how close you can guess to which one it was.

Watching live eliminates Dr. Pepper commercials. That in itself is priceless...

Lol. 06.

Game 1 or 2?

I was at Game 4. Worth every penny.

2 I'm pretty sure. I'd have to go find the actual ticket stub, but you got the year and location right.

I cared nothing about either team, basically got dragged to it. But I stayed fucked up and got free beer, so no complaints.
