This is it. The greatest 5 day weekend of the year. 5 solid days of college football. Bubbles will burst, and legends will emerge. An orgy of football.

Thursday: See last years undefeated UCF, a decent Big 10 clash, Northwestern v Purdue, Oklahoma St and Texas AM also open their seasons (not against each other)

Friday: Michigan St, Wisconsin and Stanford. Like rivalries? We have Colorado vs Colorado State.

Saturday: Ohio State, Texas vs Maryland and a good Oklahoma and FAU. Mississippi and Texas Tech if you don't like that. That's just at 11AM (central) Clemson plays 20 minutes later.

Washington and Auburn in the game of the day, highlights the 2:30 group. Georgia and Penn State also start at that time. Then another goody at 2:30: Tennessee vs West Virginia.

6:30 is the kickoff time for Notre Dame and Michigan. Alabama and Louisville get us going at 7PM.

Sunday: One game, Miami and LSU in a slugfest.

Monday: The traditional Labor Day game. Virginia Tech and Florida State in this years classic.

What a weekend. Now all we need is one more game. We need a Wednesday Night Kickoff Classic to the season. Maybe the previous years NC should traditionally start the season against a good opponent, just like the NFL.

I get what you mean, but just to add... October is the greatest month for sports fans. MLB is in playoffs, NHL starting up, NBA starting up, College football in full swing, NFL in full swing... and there are sales on candy lol.

Did you know that if your city has all 4 major sports franchises, it's actually possible to have all 4 teams win on the same day. The only month where that can happen unless you get a lot of rainouts in baseball. I don't think any city has ever achieved that though.

Since Nebraska's a night game, I wish Michigan/Notre Dame was at 11:00 am (CT).

I already have a dilemma there. Both Ohio State and Texas play at 11.

I'll have Mich/ND on the 2nd TV so I won't miss it. Just don't pay as much attention to it as I do the big screen.

Yeah I've got 2 tv sets working also. Most of the emphasis will be on Ohio State. Without Urban they won't beat the ridiculous 37 point spread.

Wouldn't mind watching Oklahoma either. Their big test will come on 3rd and 10's when Kyler Murray has to complete the big throw. If he can come close to Baker Mayfield, Oklahoma should easily make the CFP.
