- Isaiah McKenzie looked much more comfortable returning punts.. Much more patient, learned how to call a fair catch. He looked like he did back at Jawja returning punts. Happy to see that, hope it continues.

- Paxton Lynch. He needs to go. He is getting worse each game. Year 3 and he still plays like he is in panic mode. His technique is terrible and he doesn't look like he belongs.

- Chad Kelly- We saw the good and then the concern with him. Overall, happy with him, but he did force passes on the last two possessions. He is cleary ahead of Paxton, IMO.

- Brendan Langley reminded me of Cody Latimer on special teams last night

- It was a small sample size so hard to take much of it, but our first team run D struggled early on. No concern here though right now.

- Jamal Carter hamstring gonna keep him out awhile?

- Dymonte Thomas and Josey Jewell seemed to work the hardest of any of the backup units.

- Freeman and Lindsay did well. Lindsay is so explosive. Booker didn't get much of an opportunity but the 1's didn't play long. I thought we may see a smidge more of him beings there is a RB battle, but that will probably come more next week. Often in PS you give a RB a game where his role is a bit bigger.

- Zaire Anderson played really well. Shelby Harris played well. Demarcus Walker gave a little pressure which was nice to see.

- Cracraft didn't look good at punt returns but looked pretty good catching the ball. I think we will see him on the PS again. Still early to tell. But I think McKenzie is safe now that he looks like he learned something about being an NFLer and a punt returner this off-season.

Hard to take much more as we didn't see our main dawgs for long.

I am looking for the Broncos to be contacting the Cardinals about Mike Glennon. We nearly signed him in FA. Cut Lynch, Glennon to our backup (not that he is very exciting) and then Kelly can be the QB learning getting better everday. No need to spend the time with Paxton anymore. Bridgewater would be another possibility, as both the Cardinals and Jets have a vet starter with a rookie first round pick behind them. I am expecting Glennon would rather Bridgewater.

Agree with pretty much everything you've listed. It's always hard to get a feel for where a team is in a pre-season game that only sees the starters getting a couple series. Looking more forward to Game 3, when starters will likely play for a couple quarters.

I know we're not supposed to put too much into pre-season but last night's game reminded me a lot of last year. Ironically, Siemian looked good against us. Lynch needs to go. Swing and a big miss. I have growing confidence that the Broncos are going to bring in a veteran QB. If Kelly ends up as our backup without ever taking an NFL snap, the Broncos would be taking a big risk.

I'd take Bridgewater over Glennon. I've never been that impressed with Glennon.

But Siemian still did some of the same things he did with us that drove us nuts.

Stepped right into QB pressure to take a sack (Never seen a QB do that so much), threw it short across the middle of the field multiple times with a DB/LB blanketed on the receiver.

Roc Thomas looked really good for Minnesota. It's funny seeing both of our QB's from last year on the Vikings (Siemian and Sloter).

I am looking forward to our next game where it will be the first time in 4 seasons where Trevor Siemian will not be on the field during a Denver Broncos game.

Paxton just looks terrible. Time to move on. At this point you just have to swallow that pick and move on. He is wasting our time.

I never get too up or down about a preseason game, but definitely want to see the first team offense looking better than it did last night.

Add - Royce Freeman - had a Oregon type scoring run - good sign.

I had some negative thoughts about VJ and the team getting ready for this 1st preseason game - at home. I'm reserving judgment - but not impressed by the readiness of the team.

Jewell - was a jewell - looking forward to his career.

Lindsay - was awesome - and all over the field.

Chad Kelly is a gunslinger like his Uncle - I really like his moxie and is ability to run the rock - straight up the field. Telegraphs is passes - too much.

I love the Broncos front seven for quality and depth - making it a mystery to me why the Vikes gashed running lanes through the Broncos 1st D.

Every Qb last night had some sort of ties to Denver.

VJ started 7-1 last year 4-0 in preseason

Elway for whatever reason will not pull the plug on Lynch. 3 years now and he can’t read a defense .

King is a weapon but only if our D is top notch this year .

At one point last night Denver had one more pass yard than punts.

3rd team D was mostly no names and lost the game.

Kelley has moxy and the team feeds off that

I’d like to see Lynch and Kelly rotate every two series for the entire game after Kase comes out.

We’ll see about Joe Woods but I have questions about his play calling ability. Tough to follow a legend.

Where is Cravins? Wasn’t he continually injured in Washington?

Jewell is a football machine. His IQ on the field and play recognition makes up for any lack of speed.

Booker might be on the bubble .

I’d like to see the first team offense play a Qtr next game. Cousins clearly was the better QB last night.

Minny may be the best team in the league this year.

Craycraft should have fielded the punt when we had Minny backed and let it roll for 70 yards. I wanted to see Mackenzie back there again but they alternate I guess.

Both Lindsey and Mackenzie made splash plays which you want from the jitterbugs.

I also thought trevor should be our backup and play out his contract here in Denver. Now we may have to give up draft capital to get a vet.

Matt Moore is avaliable for nada

I thought Jewell and Freeman looked good, still don't understand why the Broncos let Sloter go.

I thought my Vikes played pretty well, pre-season games obviously don't mean much but we might have found something with Roc Thomas. Thought our first units both played very well and I look forward to a great season.

Good luck this year, hope the Broncos stay injury free!

Vikings looked very good or the Broncos looked very bad. Probably a little bit of both. Good luck on your season as well!

They didn’t let Sloter go as much as they liked him and put him on the practice squad but Minnesota signed him. With Siemian, Oz, and Lynch last year while none of them are great you can’t keep 4 QB’s on your roster.

He was never actually put on the PS . Vikings signed him over us to their PS. Sloter isn’t a future starter. Not a huge deal to me. Yeah our qbs last year sucked but we found out what we had and are moving on from them. Remember the Vikings had Sloter all last year and traded for Siemian this year so yeah they arent too high on his future either. He might last awhile as a clipboad holder.

I'll just say - you never bet on a QB - with Sloter's credentials to start. However, stranger things have happened - his success possibility is not zero.

Right- That is just my opinion. I think he can stick around the NFL awhile and I hope he does. I see him more like a Tyler Bray who may start his career as a 3rd string guy, hang around a few years, learn a system and be a beneficial backup down the line.

Chad Kelly was pretty good last night but I noticed that he only looked at 1/2 the field. Paxton was horrible. If Keenum goes down is there a QB we can bring in that will be able to win a few games? I say roll with Keenum and Kelly. If someone gets cut we like maybe sign them then. Give Kelly more reps in practice and games.
