Way to go Dbacks for breaking a franchise scoring record vs the Pads tonight. 20-5. Our previous record was 18. Our sticks were hot tonight. NL West is a crazy race!!!

Then they get only 3 runs tonight and lose. They are all over the place when it comes to batting. :(

yea that sucks. I watched the ENTIRE game. When a catcher ends up pitching you know you're fucked.

NL West could have four .500+ teams and only one might make the playoffs.

Since when is a division with 4 winning teams considered “meh”?

Sounds competitive to me. The west just beats up on itself.
And they all end up with a meh record. Competitive, sure. Each team as meh as the last. No crap team to fatten your record on. Dodgers win the division, the other 3 miss the playoffs with 83-85 wins

I agree that only one team comes out of the West. But that is because there are 4 legit teams that are holding each other back.

There is only 1 bad division in baseball this year, and it sure as shit isn’t the NLW.

They're not bad. They're meh
Meh does not mean bad
It means underwhelming, ok, so so

So what do you define as “good”? Or “bad”?

I see a division with 4 teams over .500 with winning records against teams outside their division as a pretty good division.

Interesting All Star game for once. Having said that, boy was Brandon Crawford over-matched out there.

He really sucks huh? Giants should trade him before he loses his value.

ugh I really wish the Sox could have held onto Allen.

Mejia's a good pickup though it remains to be seen if he'll stick behind the plate. I'm surprised Cleveland would trade him unless they're convinced he's a far worse catching option than Gomes/Perez (which is possible), but they're both pretty mediocre players. But if he can't stick at catcher, he goes from being a top prospect to a merely decent prospect. He doesn't really have the power to be a star corner OF/1B.

So will the Pads trade Hedges now? Will he fetch any value?

At what point do the Pads actually have to perform with all these prospects?
