He was on pace for 40 TDs and 4000 yards on a balanced attack. He had insane numbers on 3rd down, red zone and 4th down. That’s why him and Brady were a 2 man race 4 MVP. That’s phenomenal for a 2nd year QB. Garoppolo looked like he has star ability.
you and @NWPATSFAN and @NEPatsfan need to debate wentz vs brady

Am I wrong to be cynical about a football organization trying to make money rushing guys like Wentz out there?

That's not cynical, that's factual.....And I have no doubt the soothsayers are just trying to sell tickets with their pie in the sky predictions....However, I think they will still do well with Foles until Wentz gets back….Probably not a repeat but a winning season at least !!

I’ll take it as long as it get a healthy Wentz into the playoffs

i mean as far as the mvp went-z

Gotcha. I think Wentz had it in his pocket. Especially since Nrady didn’t dominate in December and Wentz had a 4 TD 3 quarter game on the road versus a top team... but that’s my opinion and not fact.

Exactly. Well everyone knows it now but are clawing and screaming. But by year 5 it will be laughed at.
Not everyone...one great 3/4's of a season and a not so great season say's differently.
I gotta see it before I assume and don't buy in to your crystal ball about these two players

Stop it. Everyone except a few biased Cowboy fans. Magazines, NFL players, radio hosts... EVERYONE. Wentz had some absolutely stellar moments year one and we knew we had a superstar. Year 2 he exploded on the scene and looked like the best player in the NFL at times. He had next to no college experience and was put into a starting roll last minute. What rookie with little college experience that was named starter a few days before game one with a broke down OLine and the worst receivers in the game has fans thinking “WE GOT SOMETHING VERY SPECIAL”? He has every measurable you want. Big, tall, strong, good athlete, awesome arm, hard worker and a leader... not to mention likable. The sooner you accept Philly got a superstar the easier it will be for you.
It stings a little but I completely understand Dallas got the best RB in the NFL in the same draft. Sometimes you have to man up and accept the inevitable. Wentz is a superstar and Dak is a good QB but just doesn’t have the tools Wentz has but Dallas had a great draft that year.

How many ways can you say the same shit? I understand you have him in the HOF, but that has to show itself on the field.
Wentz is a likeable guy but he has to do over an extended period of time, 12 games won't do it. You can shout it from the hilltop all you want. You can claim sure greatness. You can say Dak will never be what Wentz is now. You can point your finger at me for saying through two seasons he hasn't accomplished much more that Prescott and quote Cowherd's opinion all you want. You can say Dak will never, ever be an NFL MVP candidate. You can talk about Wentz having nothing around him all you want in spite of the fact they won their first super bowl without him. That's fan boy shit and as I've said multiple times, it should show itself year after year if true. We will see soon enough.

In addition....I don't know if Elliott is the best RB in the NFL, he's very good but to say he is sure fire the best needs to be seen over an extended period of time, not one season and certainly not 12 games.

Also..." He has every measurable you want. Big, tall, strong, good athlete, awesome arm, hard worker and a leader... not to mention likable" Other than superior arm strength, all the above can be said about Prescott and there have been many very good to great NFL QB's without the canon arm.

It's funny how you want so desperately to convince me with your words. It's funny you say Wentz had little college experience when he was the second pick in the draft...that didn't happen because he has a strong arm.

I know where Wentz was drafted and I know where Prescott was drafted. If everything holds true to form then you will have the much better QB. I can admit that when it's obvious but it's not after two seasons. Now you say it will be in 5 to which I say, we'll see. Sorry you can't accept that. But hey cheer up....As you've said several times now, You will be laughing at me soon enough.

My take. Wentz may truly turn out great, but the sample size especially with his injury is too small to say he will be.

He got better after 31 DC’s scouted him year one. He’s a bonafide superstar... that I’m sure of. Again, I do expect some bumps in the road with the injury and lack of mobility... but the kid has superstar written all ov r him.

Remember though, this year DC's have tape on him with this current crop of players that won the SB. The talent he had is rookie year was horrible.

This is true no matter how much phoenix wants to assume, and point fingers at opinions.
Gotta be seen on the field, gotta win playoff games and that can't happen in 12 games

Time will tell this tale

None of thes dudes had the pedigree or season that Wentz had. Food for thought is not comparing Rick Mirer to Wentz. I know you get down on two knees every night begging god to have Wentz not be what he is... and that’s a superstar

Always remember this cause I know best...Rick Mirer was considered the next Joe Montana and look what happen. I'm not saying Wentz will flame out like that bastard did but the story is only a few pages long and still have many years of football left to be judged on.

Careful...you don't want to be lumped in with cowboy fans.

"Everyone except a few biased Cowboy fans"

I'm not even an outsider looking on. I do like the Eagles living in SJ so I watch them first then the Seahawks games. I just call it the way I see it and it's way too early IMO to say who's the clear cut favorite between the two. I think Wentz is a bit better then Dak but I think Dak will end up being a very good QB.

Is there a non Iggles fan who is big on Wentz this season?

Since we're two weeks into this pathetic homer thread, I don't really want to read thru it all.

I feel like the Eagles are more likely to go 8-8 than have a winning season.

About 30% of winning Super Bowl teams don’t make the playoffs the following year. That will definitely go up this year. Wentz will never get cleared to play. Foles will get hurt first quarter of game one. They beg McNabb to come out of retirement. He does and the Eagles go 2-14 on the year. Both wins come against the even more pathetic Cowboys who finish the year 0-16. Dak and Wentz never play in the NFL again. Proving both are busts and making this thread a complete waste of time. Fuck them both.
