Only a month away. Kerry Hyder already back as a full participant. Lets hope he has recovered fully. Gonna need him on the outside on Pass downs. Or we will be playing a ton of 3-4 formations on passing downs.

I am already hearing that training camp is more intense then it was under coach Ethyr. More players, less rest and wind sprints after practice. Matty Patty is whooping them into shape.

I think I'll go to a pre season game this year. The boy got free tix for completing a 3 day Lil Lions Summer Football Camp this week.

So far SF wont have Foster for our game week 2 and the Pats wont have Edelman in week 3. Things are trending up. No Lions suspended for anything.

Some inside info I caught wind of last week. Apparently, the Lions were in talks with the Pats about Gronk before the draft. Nothing happened obviously, but I thought it was interesting we passed considering our TE situation. Still 2 weeks till camp opens. Not too much happening.

Quin had better not be that stupid.

But it wouldn't surprise me.

Not sure what you mean by that. Explain.
Ebron had more receptions the last two years than Gronk did.

Dude already traded two picks to his ol buddies for the sixth back in his class. And a second rounder for a seventh to the same former place of employment. Would not be surprised to see him toss more away to NE.

Gronk is close to done imo. This year, maybe next. And he won't be healthy for a majority of that.

The lack of investment at the position, currently, makes me think it's a serious option. Which would mean we'd have a 30 year old TE, with a 12mil hit, at this time next year instead of a starter on a rookie deal. Abdullah and a third Id be cool with. Maybe. And NE wouldn't do that. So it's a move I'm not going to be a fan of.

Agreed. I am glad he passed on it. The changes on offense may not require much of a pass catching TE anyway. We will be more vertical with WRs is what they are saying. TE will be for blocking and shorter routes.

I'd be pissed if we gave up anything more than a 6th. Sure, throw AA in there. He's useless on this team.

Thats what I was hoping for too but I dont think the money was there and not sure my cheap ass would want to spend it to rent a TE for a year.

You know, when it comes to the Lions, I'm usually optimistic about their chances. And I want to be optimistic this year. But I've just got a bad feeling.
