Police statement

That doesn't look good for Shady but if this woman is convinced he was behind it who knows what she's willing to say. Chances are Shady took all his expensive stuff out of there when she refused to leave.

I don't know the numbers per sport but there are way more nfl players than any other sport.

I think we all need to keep in mind the relative size of football teams. By the time the season is done with injuries, practice squads etc we're talking 70 or 80 guys where baseball you might use 35-40 during the year, basketball less than 20 and hockey maybe 35 so just by numbers alone you're likely to have more football players get in trouble because there's more of them.

Wait, if she didn't have the code then how was it armed with her inside? Either she would set it off getting into the house, or it was never armed in the first place.

McCoy of course.

Well I know you're sold already...lol

Like I said earlier, I'm leaning in that direction, but will wait to let due process play out.

I will say...if Shady is behind it or linked to it, it's going to be hard to pin it on him (from a criminal standpoint) without catching the intruder and getting him to turncoat.

Good point...if the reports are true that McCoy had the alarms changed and she didn't know the code...it most likely would not have been on.

But that begs another question...if he had it changed, why wouldn't he have turned it on?

If he's not there and turns it on she'll set it off. If the police respond and she has ID showing that as her address it just goes off and the police have it shut down. You might even be liable for noise pollution fines. If she didn't have some legal right to live there he could have had the police remove her.

Who knows what really happened? This woman doesn't strike me as the most responsible young lady so leaving one of the houses many doors open isn't a stretch.
It can also be a case of Shady telling the wrong guy or a friend of Shady's telling the wrong guy about what's happening. It gets out there that Shady has a woman, alone in his house, with a bunch of high end jewelry and they decide to rob her.
It can also be that the young woman herself or a friend of hers was complaining in public about the security system being down, the locks changed etc and the wrong person over heard. If she's out in public dripping in jewelr it isn't a stretch someone followed her back to the house.
There's a few logical explanations some of which don't involve McCoy

I know next to nothing about the young woman, but your opening question in the post is really the main question here. Aside from the obvious, there was an intrusion, an assault, somethings were taken.

If it was a real robbery...these items are going to surface at some point...a pawn shop in CA, something. Thieves want money, not expensive jewelry.

If you're going through that hassle, why not change the locks while you're at it...lot of cloudiness here.

She was his EX so I'm not sure if that's a "right", but she had just cause to be there.

At some point the relationship went south and he wanted her out apparently, but reportedly she had furnishings there as in she had "moved in". It's not that easy to just call police and have them remove her...it's a legal process which again reportedly was ongoing.

Apparently they were on again and off again, thin line between love and hate.

Yeah , it happens, but at least "off" for nearly a yr supposedly. The reports say the eviction process has been nearly a yr in the making...her attorney supposedly stalled with a family emergency on the most recent court hearing for this month.

It's against the law to change the locks if she's a legal resident, turning off the security system or removing cameras is not.

Yep, but taking the stolen goods to a Georgia pawn shop would be a surefire way of getting busted...no?

Yes, I was just wondering why you choose CA

True, NFL rosters are much bigger than any other sport. So, the ample size is much bigger.

IMO hockey players get hit on the head more than football players. More games per season and playoffs. Plus unlike football, hockey hasn't cracked down on all hits to the head just certain ones.
