Consult, sure but not overpay for guys like TT or Smith.....and James had a hand in that. That would be stupid, imo. Obviously, you don't turn the franchise over to him. But you certainly consult with him on moves.

We can still trade for Leonard.adding Boogie is not going to be cheap- he is going to get a max from somewhere even if its not for 4 years....if Boogie signs a 2 year max and LeBron goes there--- and Boogie has complications....
if you sign Boogie and LeBron to maxes do you have the money next year to sign anyone? I would doubt it...right? no?
trust me if i thought it was the Cavs i would be saying it.Stop trying to jinx it. lol
if he isnt likely to attend its probably just saying-- thanks but no thanks---- id still say AT LEAST 90% lakers and 10% cavs.
Nick Wright
I think they would be better off not making that deal. Cousins probably won't be back until Jan and Leonard is coming off an injury and LBJ is coming off a season in which he played a hundred straight games. He would be toast by the All Star break trying to keep them afloat if they traded all their young guys. They have a good young cast, add LBJ and keep him rested, let Boogie come back and then trade for what you need at the break IMOWe can still trade for Leonard.
Nick Wright
Wright makes shit up as he goes...I trust Shannon Sharpe more than Nick Wright lol
The fact that Lebron is not even going to the Philly meeting sure seems like a bad sign. He is going to be a Laker.
Makes sense.trust me if i thought it was the Cavs i would be saying it.
I just dont think it is. I think he has an image of ruling LA and a big premiere for Space Jam 2 in LA with all the stars out, etc...he sees Kyrie making his shitty little Uncle Drew movie and wants to stomp the life out of it...
could u imagine how big Space Jam 2 would be if LeBron was in LA? How much hype LeBron would get....hes the biggest story in the NBA, has the highest selling jersey, is everything anyone talks about if he goes to LA.
if he goes alone though i think its hard for him to even get out of the 1st round and practically impossible to get out of the 2nd round- so its why i am still hedging slightly unless they can land someone- and while Boogie would be a good guy to land- will LEBron tie his future up in a mercurial big man that just had a torn achillees?
Are they even friends?I agree completely.......Vegas has LBJ at -5000 to sign with LA and that is greater than 90% and Vegas is not wrong very often.........I think its only a matter of time until he is a Laker................THe real question is does Boogie follow him.
Because the Clippers are trying to backdoor you.Interesting that the Kawhi trade talk has gone quiet.
Damn good point. IMO if I were the Lakers I would wait it out and try to sign Kawhi next year.Because the Clippers are trying to backdoor you.
If West can't beat you, He is at least trying to drive the price up.
Harris, SG-A and Robinson is better than any Lakers deal that doesn't include Ingram.
That's what the Paper Clips just offered.
Wagner, Kuz and filler ain't gonna get it done.

I don't know much about Smith's situation, but overpaying TT was the right move at the time, regardless of whether or not Lebron had a hand in it.
TT wasn't worth what he got to anyone but the Cavs because there are plenty of guys who could provide what TT does for a lot less. But even if they let him walk, they still wouldn't have had the cap space to sign a cheaper alternative. So, they had to overpay the guy they had.
Hill and Smith are gone after this year....after that the only contracts the Cavs really have are Korver- which is emmintently movable at about 7M, Clarkson at 1 year 13M which shouldnt be impossible to move, and then of course Thompson at 1 year 18M which wont be easy to move.Forgot Iman Shumpert. Another horrible contract.
