ABD did a good job last night as well. Not much was said about that. 2 decent starts for him and 3 for Minor.
Is crouse a new draft pick?
I highly doubt minor is moved this year. He still has 2 and a half years on his deal.
Will eat crow if I’m wrong tho.
Unless they want a bigger return than they can get this time next year. I would think anytime we have a chance to get more we would take advantage of it. That is, if management has truly embraced the task of rebuilding.
The longer Minor is under control the more we can get for him unless the other team has doubts about his future like I do. Either way, I would seek to trade him and Choo even though we could keep both of them 2 more years.
Crouse was drafted last year. He got a late start to this year due to an injury. He has a real chance to be the best pitcher in the organization. He has a very good backstory as well.
How and who catches should prove interesting
I think it does matter whose back there.
The guy I hated was torrealba. It seemed like our pitchers wouldn’t do well with him catching.
I understand the new stadium and all, but what if the rebuild isn't complete by then? Do you stop before it is complete? If so is that really a rebuild? The new stadium is a good comparison. I am sure they would like to open it up next year, but the process to build it takes too long to do so. The rebuilding of the team could be a lengthy process as well.I do think we are rebuilding next year but with new BP at 2020 I think FO will look to compete and rebuild will be over.
However if we can flip Minor for value and a piece they will be good 2020 then that makes sense. With that logic a lot of the players including DDJ and Profar could be moved
I don't think we are looking to move him as aggressively as 2018 and 2019 expiring contracts.

The kid has been compared to Fidrych.
He looks quite pumped up. I have a good feeling about him too!
As we saw with Darvish, we could trade him and then still have every opportunity to bring him back.Texas Rangers rumors: Adrian Beltre wants to return to Texas for 2019, per report
As expected the market for Beltre this summer is going to be limited. Limited markets mean limited returns. But I do love hearing he wants to be here in 2019.

His age combined with his overall performance this year has me wondering how good he will be in 2 years. Even if I didn't have doubts about his performance in 2 years, I have a lot of doubt about our ability to go to a WS while he is under contract.Right now to me Minor looks to be a good signing talent and money wise. What are your doubts?
Several pitchers of Minor''s ability are available every offseason. It isn't like we would be trading away an asset that we can't replace in free agency with a better one in 2 years.I think we should always be rebuilding but the issue is do you sell expiring 2020 asserts now. I am thinking not.
Yes our pitching doesn't look like a big plus even for 2020. So Minor could be traded but just not unloaded. It is a big deal to not even plan to contend in 2019 which look inevitable.
Just don't see FO having that plan for 2020. Things could change midseason next year of course.
