I think after all has been said and done that I can say this---

If the Lakers get either Leonard, George, or Cp3 to go to LA- LeBron will also go.

If the Lakers cannot get any of those 3 guys, I think LeBron likely stays in Cleveland.

Should be interesting to see what happens.

Right now I would put the Lakers getting any of those 3 guys individually at under 50%, but collectively the chances of getting at least one at between 60-65%.....

If the Lakers strike out on those 3 guys, then I think he just does a 1 and 1 deal in Cleveland and takes a year to kind of see how things go and re-enters free agency next year.

Or he could get traded Boston for Kyrie, Hayward, Greg Monroe & a 3rd round draft pick.:heh:

I can see where Kemba would b e a tough decision.

He's not really good enough to be a guy you build around.

But he is good enough to be an important piece on a winning team.

Ideally, a #3 option....

Before they sign a player.

Example.....

Lakers can agree to terms with George and LeBron on July 1.

They can sign George on the 6th because they have one max slot open without any maneuvering.

But, they can't sign James until they renounce Slopez, Randle....etc.

If I'm not mistaken, that's what the Celtics did with Hayward last year.

They had pending trades worked out in the event that Gordon agreed to terms.

They executed those deals, trading Bradley...renouncing Olynyk etc....

Then they actually put pen to paper.

Damn, smart and beautiful.

If they strike out, I could see them trading for Walker and James signing....then they save a max deal deal next summer. Windhorst has indicated James to the Lakers isn't coningent on any other star signing there. Not that I think the Lakers would want to bank on that so Walker as a fallback option and Kupchak might be willing to deal with his old team.

This is shaping up to be the most interesting free agency of Lebron's career. There are no ideal landing spots.

It will also be interesting to see how Lebron plays it.

Does he get it over with and sign with the Lakers first knowing that they have 2 slots and another max guy will join him?

Does he see if he can get CP3 or PG to sign first or at the same time as him?

Or does he take your 3rd option sign a 1 and 1 and see what can be done next year even though he knows he probably isn't getting out of the East?

Like I said yesterday, he knows what hes doing.
Just a matter of how long he drags it out.

do you think LeBron James is signing in LA if none of those other 3 guys go there?

I dont think it necesarily matters which guy signs first- whether its LeBron or CP3 or George- or a Kawhi trade etc.

I just dont think there is anyway we are sitting here on opening night and LeBron is in a Lakers jersey playing without one of those 3 guys.

But we shall see.

Plus- i think that if Kemba is good enough to get LeBron to come to LA- sure trade for him- if he is not- the Lakers using both trade assets and the inevitable large amount of cap space it will take to resign him would be a major flop compared to what they were envisioning with that cap space. Going from say, Paul George and giving up nothing, to Kemba Walker and giving up AT LEAST a Ball or Ingram, is pretty sad--- especially when i see it as they would have to give up Ingram as I can definitely see the Hornets valuing Sexton more than Ball.

Maybe he just wants to hear how the basketball will work? Doesn't want to hear all of the fluff about what the city has to offer, etc.? :noidea:

i dont think the timing matters as---- @TurnUpTheHeat said- he would have already talked to guys and knew what htey were going to do- so whether LeBron takes the plunge first, or one of the other guys, I think it can be definitively said that each of the guys will know what the other is doing.

If other players take time to make up their minds is it still LeBron's fault for dragging things out?:D

Why not? We're all doing dumbass daily watch nonsense on a lot of guys including LeBron

I swear these threads are pages and pages of the same things being discussed over and over. What more is there to say? All that can be done now is wait.

Now that's just awful. Speaking of sports talk radio it sucks out here. No matter what time of the year it is the Broncos will always been mentioned. A whole lotta Broncos fans where I'm at. But not real NFL fans.

Windhorst has indicated that James may go to the Lakers regardless if any other max type FA signs there so yes......since Windhorst is as close to James than any other NBA reporter.
