Yup... more or less with how I see it. I see it in some ways as Dak being more in the Nick Foles mould, and Wentz the Aaron Rodgers.

To me Dak has a lot to prove this season, especially whether he can carry the team if needed. Last year he could not, but that is something he could get better at.

Too be fair it's difficult for Dak to get better when it's easy for the D to drop 8 guys back and not have Zeke to worry about. Now with Zeke back for 16, there shouldn't be any excuses and yes he should be able to elevate Dallas to the playoffs this year.

Wentz is going to have to change is approach the way he plays. The potential is there for him to be a consistent top 5 QB but he has to back off the running quite a bit. Another ACL injury very well could halt him being top 5 QB every year and just become average.

Any player you can say will be derailed by an ACL injury. Carson didn't hurt his plant leg, so he has that going for him. I still don't think he should play in TC or week 1, but not gonna shed a tear if they rush him back.

Dak is in year 3 and has weapons, I agree he has no excuse. Maybe he will get lucky and the defense will gel and carry him like Eli got.

I too think Wentz should sit a couple of regular season games but wouldn't surprise me if he is out there week 1. Dak and the O will be just fine but I have no idea about the D. I guess if they play average it should be good enough to make the playoffs.

We were average last year, I expect above average this year. Pieces have had time to learn, this year they should start to put it together. I don't know the stats I expect them to be top 10, but I expect them to look NFL caliber. They weren't quite there last year.

It's going to be a fun battle to watch in the NFCE

I would say both Dak and Wentz had one great season and one average season for various reasons but both are talented enough to guide each team to a SB if surrounded by the right cast of players.

Yeah but Wentz’s “great season” was discounted a bit in my eyes bc the team won even without him! To me, that means the team was so good it could win without him at QB.

The same could not be said about Daks great season.

Look man... I hope Wentz makes it back. He’s a SOLID guy. I saw that story on him about the bracelet that he wears. You could see instantly how genuinely sincere he was about that kid and the whole situation.

The fact is (and @PhoenixEagles1 just won’t be real about it) the guy is coming back from major knee surgery. Brady had the same injury and I remember BB calling him out in practice the year he came back that he was “gun shy” stepping into his throws bc that’s how he injured it. Obviously, Brady overcame it but Wentz is much more of an active QB. It’s one of the things that makes him the player he is. The injury has gotta affect him mindset and approach to the game (even if it’s just initially).

They’ve got a great HC there who has full control of that locker room. Winning the SB the way they did certainly solidified that! I wouldn’t rush Wentz back. Any orthopedist will tell you 9 months is not enough for that to fully heal. He’s most definitely the future for that team. Another 6-8 weeks won’t matter in the grand scheme of things (especially if they continue winning).

Nobody wants to see that kid re-injured bc he was rushed back.

Why do so many people make up words and attribute them to others. I fully expect Wentz to struggle this year... he has a lot to overcome... adapting his game, healing, the mental part of injuries. But I also know who is much better and that’s why major magazines had him rated as the 3rd best QB behind Nrady and Rodgers and Dak as the 17th best QB right behind Foles.

How do you know. Maybe Daks backup would have won the SB in 2016. You can’t make that comparison cause it didn’t happen... not to mention he lost as the 1 seed.

He played great that game and only a ridiculous throw and catch beat him.

Did it happen to Dak? I’m a douche for thinking Wentz is better than Dak. Gotcha. One guy was contending for the MVP and one was struggling. No?

It's good to see Wentz being on pace to return to his starting role as quarterback for the Eagles. It was disappointing that he suffered a torn ACL against the Rams and gladly that Foles carried the team to their first Super Bowl victory, but it's his spot to reclaim in 2018. I wish him the best of luck moving forward.

Not true, I'm hearing rumors that Foles' family wants him to be the starter the whole season.

Year 1 Dak was contending for MVP and Wentz struggled
Year 2 was obviously reversed until Wentz went out for the year

...and the backup came in and the team didn't miss a beat. Causing everyone to wonder how much of the success was Wentz. Guarantee Dallas isn't the same without Dak.
