Brewers, Red Sox, Indians... thanks for playing, suckers.

Sonny Gray's career is probably over.

These are my thoughts. Fight me if you disagree and I'll clean your clock, buster.

All singles... and 0 walks.

Still put together a fantastic performance despite not having his best stuff.

Has yet to surrender a HR.

10 hits is a big outlier. He just gave up 3 hits and 0 runs to Boston. Before that he gave up 4 hits and 0 runs to Milwaukee. K'ing just under a batter per inning as well.

Plus, even if he kept this up, he wouldn't be in CY contention because he won't have enough innings. The CY leaders all have 14 starts compared to his six.

I'm not really concerned with last year. Yeah, he was horrendous. However, anyone whose watched him in both seasons can see that it's literally night vs day. His velo and movement is up considerably. He was a former 1st round pick (taken ahead of Sale). Rather obvious that he has the ability and it was simply a matter of working shit out. He's not the only guy like that to struggle for a few years before putting it together.

His high BABIP vs low hard contact, 0 HR's and K'ing a batter per inning is merely an indication that his WHIP will come down.

I am obviously joking about the Cy Young thing and I don't think he finishes the season with a 2.20 ERA. However, he's been very impressive. Pertaining to the rebuild, him and Rey Lopez are more than making up for the fact that Giolito has been atrocious.

You're really caught up on the Cy Young thing, Slinky. lol. If you didn't pickup on that being tongue-and-cheek -- I don't know what to tell ya.

Keep telling us about those soft and medium contact singles, though.

Who the fuck is Dylan Covey?

Some guy I met last week behind an Arby's dumpster after a few cocktails.

Times are tough, but hookin is steady work. I'm trying to get out of ma's basement before my 40th birthday.

Really good fella. Found out he pitches for the quadruple A baseball team I root for. Figured I'd take up for his cause on the SportsHoopla boards.

He has a 0.0% HR/FB rate. His xFIP, which accounts for that, is 3.30. Still solid, but the HR/FB rate is kind of unsustainable.

Also, there's the matter of it being 6 starts.

There's also the matter of him being the greatest pitcher of the live ball era

Lol if anyone disagrees

Look at that BaBip and he still averaged out at "quality" through 12 innings. What a stud. This is amazing. We're watching a hall of famer be born.
