Crazy offseason for FSU

CJ Walker transfers out, OUCH
Ike Obiago transfers out, OUCH

A good grad transfer (16ppg) comes in for Walker OK

Phil Cofer granted a 5th year of eligibility HUGE

Apparent, the word is FSU's lone recruit, the late-blooming Devin Vassell, is terribly underrated. Probable he redshirts anyways OK

Three Top 200 recruits from last season either didn't even sniff the rotation or were outright red-shirted. GOOD

People thought FSU was going to have a down year without Isaac, XRM, Bacon, Ojo, but players STEP UP.

Meh....it's not worth it's own thread, but Jordon was an acc player so this is about as good of a place as any to put this....

Christmas, the former Syracuse University basketball player, is now engaged to Jasmine Jordan, the daughter of NBA legend Michael Jordan.

Jasmine Jordan announced the couple's engagement on her Twitter page on Sunday.

Like Christmas, Jasmine Jordan also attended Syracuse University; she co-headlined SU's Orange Madness in 2012 with Scoop Jardine. She graduated with a degree in sports management.

Christmas was a starter on the Syracuse team that advanced to the 2013 Final Four. As a senior in 2015, he led the Orange in scoring (17.5 point per game) and rebounding (9.1 per game).

Walker leaving is not a surprise. He started the games last year,
but his minutes were greatly reduced the 2nd half of the season.

It was obvious Ham lost confidence in him.

Cofer getting the extra year is huge. (He just doesn't need to shoot from 25 feet too much.

Our biggest lost will be Mann. He was a ballplayer.

Will he not be back in 2018, or are you talking about the following year?

I thought he graduated.

Hell, if he's back, plus Cofer, Forrest the Kid from Albany and one
of our big men, we'll be fine again.

I believe he's back.

If Mann had any type of shooting ability and midrange game, he'd be a lottery pick. He's passes, rebounds, defends, slashes, and finishes at a very high level. And the height/length/athleticism.

Trevon Duval went undrafted last night.

That really doesn't surprise anyone. Who would use a selection to get a PG who can't shoot FT's, turns the ball over, and takes unwarranted shots at the worst possible moments? He's the first Coach K player to declare for the draft as an underclassman and go undrafted.

This goes to show that high school ratings are pretty meaningless. He was the #1 rated PG in his class? I blame the coaching staff for relying more on player ratings and ranks rather than fitting a team together. With a true PG this year's team should have been a title contender with no less than a Final Four. This coming season I believe that you'll see what a true PG is supposed to be in Tre Jones.

This among other things is why I think Tre Jones is better for Duke. Even when he could be frustrated with the ball not going in-

"The third Blue Devil to take the floor for Team USA was point guard Tre Jones who, like Reddish, struggled to shoot the ball (2-of-9 FG) in nearly 34 minutes of action. While his jump shot wasn’t on, Jones still managed a positive contribution, leading the team with five assists against no turnovers." -John Watson The Devils Den

Go Cuse!!! I'm back!!

SU will have a very good team this year. And the men on the grid iron will field a much better team as well. Should be a decent fall an winter.
