Doesn't sound like you're joking.

Once you plug the stick into the hdmi port on the back of the TV...make sure the TV is switched to the same hdmi input...from there the Chromecast has to get set up...a few onscreen steps to follow and it loads the built in apps and that's it.

If you don't see the financial news network preloaded, you will have to search for the app.

Really? I thought it only worked through apps on your cellphone? ?

After uploading a couple news channel Go apps on my phone, I've had them running on the TV. Still, it's kinduva PITA to start it back up every time I come and go out of the office.

That's true for the chromecast...it doesn't come with a remote so you need a tablet or cellphone to control the interface.

FWIW...I bought a Roku Streaming Stick+ because it did come with a decent remote, and it's much faster processing and smoother streaming. I didn't buy it for this reason but it can also stream 4k. It offers control from your tablet or cell phone also, but once the app is loaded and running it can stay on as long as you want. For maybe $20 more than chromecast...much better performer imo.

Well, I fucked up...seems kinduva senseless PITA.

My solution is that I kept my old cellphone. So, I'll update that and just keep it plugged in at the office. That will be dedicated to putting whatever on toob.

Your old phone has been repurposed as a remote control...not a bad solution.
