Yeah, good news update, Dash. (play along guys)

Let's all hope he can win a Cup there, he certainly deserves it.

(man, dimentia setting in early, poor guy)
if he plays there for long enough, perhaps they would even retire his number
would have to be a pretty long time though.

He'll be in CO for a season or two tops, Puck. Don't be ridiculous!

I do think with someone as steady as Bourque on the backline, the Avs might have enough tools to bring home their second Cup.

I remember that trade. Got to think the Flyers in 2000 win the Cup had they had Bourque.

Maybe but probably not. Even though that ECF was tight and Philly blew a 3-1 series lead the Devils were still overall the better team even with Bourque on the Flyers. Crap trap and Brodeur meant scoring was nigh on impossible. The Flyers D was alright but Bobby Boucher at the back was probably never beating a Brodeur-led team.

Don't forget NJ were pretty gifted offensively too (Elias, Sykora, Arnott, Mogilny, Gomez etc.) while the Flyers didn't have Lindros due to his 47th concussion (which was suffered, coincidentally enough, in a game vs. Boston that wound up being Bourque's last as a Bruin before being traded).

I hated that Bourque went to the Avs and I most definitely rooted against Colorado in the playoffs that year.

Saddest thing I ever saw was a bunch of Bruins fans rooting for a POS like Patrick Roy so Ray could get his name on the cup. :L

The saddest thing I ever saw was Boston having a Stanley Cup celebration when Bourque won the cup.
