We went 45-37 in 2012-2013. How does that make it year 6 of the rebuild process?

And we've won more games in each of the last 3 seasons. So, we're obviously on the upward swing.

I bet they will take Trae.

LeBron likes him.

But, not enough to stay just because they draft him.

I'm laughing my ass off at any team that picks Trae Young. That was a kid that should've went back to school a 2nd year.

Ball and Ingram missed a lot of games due to inijury. If not for that, they would have been over .500 this past season.

I'm mostly just trolling Shaqdaddy. The Lakers have some nice pieces. They are banking on getting Lebron and/or PG would which dramatically improve the team. They could potentially be a playoff contender next year if they get PG and could make a deep run if they get Lebron.

I knew it wasn't going to be as good as everybody thought.

Everyone was talking about it being practically a guarantee that it was going to be a top 3 pick. Not. Even. Close.

Can they package it with a player for something?

If you want a high quality all-star player, that pick is no longer worth it by itself. And take Lebron out of the equation, what player on their respective contract would you absolutely want from Cleveland?

Yep. But, Wiggy's jacking off to it. He has it has a fathead on his ceiling.

How far would the Lakers have gotten if Dwight had stayed? A few playoff appearances but definitely no rings.

They would have missed out on three #2 picks for starters.

So where would they be now?

Probably about a 35 win team.

If I were a Laker fan I would definitely be looking forward.

But this draft is the last big FU from Buss to the Lakers. Kinda like how this is Billy King's last big FU to the Nets. Although that FU was a lot more raw and unlubed than Buss'.

Finally. Talk about the gift that keeps on giving. :L

Lakers won't have a shot at Bates-Diop. He'll go 15-20.

I'd take Brunson or Aaron Holiday (if he is available, doubtful). Bruce Brown could be a decent pick there and I don't know about Afernee Simons because he's a lot more raw....but maybe take him if he's still there?
Dude, the consensus mock draft has Bates-Diop #37.

2014 - 27 wins
2015 - 21 wins
2016 - 17 wins
2017 - 26 wins
2018 - 35 wins
2019 - 6th season.

Unless you think the Lakers are done rebuilding and are ready to compete for titles now.

I think we'll be in the postseason next season once FA is over this summer.

I think it is entirely possible.

But it really boils down to whether they get Lebron or not. PG on his own gets you to be a 1st round exist playoff team at best.
