The Shockers sign 6'5, 200lb wing Dexter Dennis leaving 2 schollies open after Alex Lomax broke his commitment with us to return to Memphis to play for new head coach Penny Hardaway (his HS coach and AAU coach). The other two scholarships opened up after Landry Shamet (SO) declared for the draft and C.J. Keyser decided to transfer in hopes of obtaining more playing time.

Dexter picked us over Georgia Tech, Mississippi, and K-State.

Wichita State scores its first recruiting victory of the 2018 spring period

The Royals will need to suck for many more games before I start paying attention to recruiting. I hear KU is a favorite to be the preseason #1 which is about as useful as a bull with tits.

Preseason #1 on the FBI's Most Wanted list too! :dhd:

Villanova just signed two 4 star guys, a guard named Justin Moore ranked low 50s and a local forward named Eric Dixon who is ranked 118.

Wright going after the same type of guys that won him titles ... basically guys not good enough to play in the NBA, at least for another few years.

Nevada picked up McDonald's AA Jordan Brown. Even without the Martin twins I still think they'll be a top 15 team with what they're bringing in.

Nevada also nabbed this guy: https://www.rgj.com/story/sports/co...g-ehab-amin-texas-m-corpus-christi/588411002/

It was between Wichita State and Nevada for his services. I'm glad we didn't get him as I think Teddy "Buckets" has more upside and we were down to our last scholly.

Jordan Brown was an incredible signing for Nevada. I'm thinking Arizona missed on him due to the fact that the FBI has temporarily shut down their recruiting check cashing bidness...

They also got Trey Porter from Old Dominion who averaged 13 ppg and 6 rpg, who's eligible right away. They get Tre'Shawn Thurman eligible next year who averaged 14 and 8 at Omaha, Nisre Zouzoua who averaged 20 ppg at Bryant, Corey Henson who averaged 14.5 ppg at Wagner and Jazz Johnson who averaged 16 ppg at Portland all eligible after sitting out 2017-2018. They will look completely different, but they will basically have a team full of guys who performed at high levels on mid and low major teams, along with a McDonald's AA and two other 3 star recruits. Plus they'll get Lindsey Drew back who missed the last month of the season, and NCAA Tournament.

I believe Nevada is actually 2 over the scholly limit right now with the Brown commitment.

Also, I wouldn't bank on drew all that much, he suffered the worst injury for a baller to have. It's just not something that you always come back 100% from.

They will be if the Martin twins come back. I'm thinking they probably won't though.

And that's true. Hopefully he can come back to what he was. But if not they'll have plenty of options in the back court. Drew would provide some additional depth for them. I'm not sure he'd be a main options with all the eligible transfers coming in.

That boy's a game changer under the right coach. Maybe the coach doesn't even matter.
