Gonna shamelessly plug along. This feels more like a chore for me, but like a meth addict I can't quite quit even if I kinda want to

Combine Notes: Day 4 | Draft Analyst

- If the Carolina Panthers don’t re-sign Star Lotulelei, the Houston Texans and Kansas City Chiefs are potential landing spots, as both teams have shown interest.

James Washington would be a good pick in rd2. Not a fan of Oklahoma St's system but he seems like he is a good fit for what Kansas City should bring in to work with Mahomes. Conley is the one guy I'm curious about with Mahomes in general just due to how physically gifted he is.

The Duke Ejiofor interview is interesting. He seems like a guy like Markus Golden out of Mizzou who seems decent in Arizona. Some draft guys are really high on him and some are really low on him. I wouldn't be opposed to him.

Dorance Armstrong seems more likely and his shuttle and 3 cone time really show off the level of athlete that he is. A huge gamble in rd2 just due to the lack of production last year but if I was to do a mock draft then thats who I would pick for the Chiefs.

Um, what

What kind of twilight zone am I in? This team gets a sick kick out of screwing with me. We've been hearing the Chiefs have been interested in a WR for a while, I just assumed it would be a guy like Chark or Coutee depending on who they like more between Conley and Wilson price allowing.

So, players I've seen the Chiefs linked to in FA

Star Lotulelei
Albert Wilson
"big name on Offense"
Sammy Watkins

They must really be banking on being a top 5 offense again.

I'd be okay with Albert Wilson.

I think Star would be a solid pickup.

They have no business being in the Sammy Watkins sweepstakes.

I have him as my 2nd favorite CB in the whole draft.

I have no idea how he is making it out of the top 50 picks in some mock drafts but if it happens for real then the Chiefs need to move up and grab him.

Messageboard tier rumor, but for giggles I'll post it as it's fun to look at

I'm hoping the Chiefs get Carlton Davis, Jaire Alexander or Mike Hughes in rd2.

If Taven Bryan falls then he'd work, too. Da'Shawn Hand is a DE that I think would be a great fit for the Chiefs.

I'm not sure Guard is going to be in the cards. All of the guys I thought would be there in rd2 or rd3 are going rd1 in mocks.

Nose Tackle could be in play with a couple of players but Im not sure that is a priority for the Chiefs....for some reason.

Lorenzo Carter seems like the only reasonable candidate that might be an upgrade from Dee Ford. That saddens me but the Chiefs might be rolling with Houston, Ford and Kpass and then maybe some project.

My guess is that Carlton Davis is going to be a Chief and KC will trade up. Thats my guess before the draft.

Byron Pringle signs with the Chiefs out of KSU. Could be in the mix as a KR'er?

Loved him while watching all the Senior Bowl practices. Very underrated player that I think will find his way in the NFL for quite a few years.

It wasn’t that long ago the Chiefs thought Rakeem Nunez-Roches was worth $1.9 million.

They no longer feel that way.

According to Terez Paylor of Yahoo Sports, the Chiefs have released the defensive lineman.

He signed his restricted free agent tender on April 27, and at some point in the less-than-two weeks since, they deemed him no longer cost-effective.

He played in every game last year, starting 11 games.
