Seahawks sign Byron Maxwell to 1 year deal who played great last year (84 PFF rating) and Shaquille Griffin will not be a rookie (77 PFF rating).

BUT OMFG THE SEAHAWKS SHOULD'VE DRAFTED CB OMFFFFF THEY PICKED A RB OMFGGG!

I'm more concerned about the lack of attention the OL got in the draft. RW3 is gonna be running for his life all season

Really? Well we get Fant, Odhiambo and Pocic back, an offseason to work with them, and we picked up Fluker... plus we got one of the best pass blocking TEs in the league and drafted the best blocking TE available. And then got Wilson someone who can actually run the f'ing ball. I'm not sure why everyone was screaming for us to draft OLs...

Wasn’t a great draft for OL. Not wise to draft for need when the talent isn’t there.

Not wise to not address the need in free agency before the draft weak in O-line talent. Besides, there was o-line talent in the draft, just not LT.

The shock there is Penny was an expected 2nd or 3rd round pick by most. The Seahawks were light on day 2 picks so they reached.

Not wise to not address the need in free agency before the draft weak in O-line talent. Besides, there was o-line talent in the draft, just not LT.

Didn't have the cap space to bring in top o-line FA.

I'm really happy with the Penny pick. He'll be a good compliment to Carson. We just need to get the OL figured out.

I think our o-line will become better with the addition of our new o-line coach. I'm not saying top 10 but if the o-line can get back to say 20th rank, that'll be huge for the run game and RW's health. Thank God Tom Cable is gone!

We don't need high priced guys to have an effective OL we just need the right coach to make those guys better with protections and I think we found that in Solari.

That's the hope and it helps Fant is coming back too. Hopefully Solari puts a dunce cap on JI and sends him to the corner cause I can't watch him get roasted on every play.

Yes, just needs the proper o-line coach to get that talent out of him.

When your all pro defense who's in their mid 20's contracts are up, yes they need to be resigned and yes the cap becomes tight. Nothing to do with poor cap decisions. The problem was the FO wasn't hitting on o-line guys for various reasons when drafted.

Can't forget about McKissic either. I'm sure he'll be utilized in 3rd down situations as well.

I think of him more as a James White type. Probably will end up with more catches than carries. I think Penny has the tools to become a legit 3 down back though.
