ESPN has suggested that the Spurs might be done with Leonard and will want to move him this summer. They are said to like Ingram and Kuzma - But I think that is way too much to give them for Leonard. In fact I wouldn't even want to give up anything right now - considering his refusing to play and claiming to not be the 100% the team doctors are saying he is obtained.

Now if the Lakers get

Leonard

The Spurs Get

Luol Deng
Brandon Ingram
Kyle Kuzma

Even that seems a bit lopsided against the Lakers - but I would I consider no less. and that is only If I were confident that the Lakers would be able to sign two big free agents. Personally I think Ingram or Kuzma either one are offensively almost as good as Leonard - What seems to be lacking to me is the defensive end and I think they can improve on that substantially to make themselves complete players

The Spurs would want more. And they sure as hell wouldn't take Deng.

They would be getting two really good picks without having to hit rock bottom to get them - Leonard is a great player, but he is not a maximum contract player and is not worth more and without them taking Deng - that deal for me would be DOA. It already was anyway really because I'd like to see what Kuzma can do - I think Ingram is going to be really good once he develops a man's body and puts some weight on

That's what I was arguing with some one - Even with them taking Deng, I think the Lakers would still be giving up to much -

Two promising young guys who have proven they can already take over games, for an all-star who's worn suits more than an NBA jersey for the last two years.

I'm still good. Even if deng was included

I suppose if Lebron and George had already signed and they needed that trade to be a contender in the finals - but I am not convinced that is the case or even close to it - ESPN was arguing that Kuzma will never be a top 2 or 3 player - and I disagree - I think we need more time to see what he can be. With Deng - there are only two more years left - In a year from now - he becomes a valuable expiring contract. Not that the Lakers consider my opinion to be of value, but I think they should keep what they have and be patient.

You know it just occurred to me what a lot of these teams are missing - they need more women Gm's - Women are smarter at management?

Seriously? Not a max player?

Kawhi Leonard was arguably the best player in the entire league last year. He is most definitely a supermax player. If the Spurs find themselves in a spot where they are forced to trade Kawhi, they are going to get 29 phone calls and somebody is going to offer more. He is MUCH better than Kyrie who netted a package worth a lot more than what you suggest:

By the way, you do realize the cost for getting somebody to take Deng is something like Kuzma and a 1, right? That does not even imply Ingram straight up for Leonard. Your offer is extremely unrealistic.

Ingram is a nice prospect, but nice prospects don't net superstars in straight up trades.

There is zero chance that the Spurs would trade Leonard for Kuzma and Ingram.

If they did offer the trade, the Lakers would take it in a second.

In a second.

Even without Deng. Dang you guys overvalue your players something fierce.

I was listening to some podcast and they were talking about the Sixers making a move for Leonard and that it would be Simmons PLUS more.

The alleged Celtics trade was Brown AND Tatum and the lottery pick.

Leonard is a franchise changing player.

Nope there is zero chance or nope the Lakers wouldn't make that trade?

No way in hell the Lakers make that trade.

Both Kuzma and Ingram are arguably in the top 10/15 of promising young players. To give BOTH those guys up for a guy coming off a major injury?

Hilarious

Yeah Kuzma and Ingram are scrubs. The Lakers should release them straight away

:rolleyes2:

I didn't say that.

Kawhi is a superstar though. You guys are nuts if you think the Lakers don't do that trade. Would leave them with Lonzo, Kawhi, Randle and cap space to sign another max player. With Kawhi in tow it would make the Lakers that much more attractive for the best of the best.

Both Kuzma and Ingram COULD be superstars.

It took Leonard four years to reach the level Kuzma and Ingram did in one and two years respectively

Does not surprise me. You are never able to objectively value Laker players.

When playing fantasy sports, a common mistake owners make is they tend to value their own players at about 125% what they are actually worth and everybody else's at about 80%. Hence, they offer ridiculously unbalanced and unrealistic trades.

That explains @Shaqdaddy11 to a tee.

Kuzma and Ingram are very good. They are not on a superstar track though. But we are talking about a 26 year old superstar on a $20 million contract for next year. Not to mention, Kawhi Is an LA guy should be easy to resign.

OMG.

Cmon. Ingram maybe. It is stretch though. Kuzma no way in hell he is a future superstar.
