Now they scheduled Idaho when the Vandals were FBS so we could cut them some slack.
However...they obviously like this because in 2019 they are slated to be the only FBS school
with 2 I-AA's on their schedule that year. Towson State and UT Martin.

They are determined to get to the 7-win mark.

Maybe, there are rules that allow teams in transition to be counted - but I've never seen it go this way before so I'm not sure what applies. Usually it's teams coming into FBS and it's done to encourage FBS teams to schedule them.

Either way, if they can't beat 5 FBS teams I'll be laughing my ass off. But to be honest, I'd rather have Mullen than Taggert. I think they'll win at least 8-9 games next year.

There are rules for transitioning up but not down. Liberty, this season, is not a full-fledged FBS school
but in their second year of transition so they are not counted as an FCS school. There is no waiting list
in transitioning downward. Idaho will be a 1-AA this year. It's been a 2-year process for them.

California.

39 in the 16 years of the BCS and 7 in the 4 years of the Playoff System (46)

Mich St had 27 in the 16 years of the BCS and 4 in the 4 years of the playoff system (31).

MSU was 18-13 .581
