Oklahoma has been going outside Texas a lot lately for top tier recruits. They’ll still pull several from the lone star state but they’re not as reliant as they used to be. They’ve got a pipeline to Cali, and lately they’re opening up pipelines to Florida and Missouri and maybe even establishing a presence in Georgia. On top of that, Oklahoma is producing a lot more quality players than ever. Seeing multiple top 250 players coming out of the state every season. If Texas suddenly finds their ass it won’t have that much of an affect on Oklahoma.
