Da fuq is this shit? TMZ?

"The Rams hypothetically could give the Giants their 23rd overall pick in this year’s first round, a later round pick and perhaps wide receiver/kick returner Tavon Austin, who has just one year at an $8 million cap hit remaining on his restructured deal. Austin, 28, is dynamic but didn’t see much action in McVay’s offense in 2017."

We already gave up our 2nd rounder this year and EJ Gaines for Sammy Watkins last year.. Now we gonna give up our 1st rounder this year for Odell?

:bullshit:

There is a 90% chance OBJ is better than the player they will pick at 23. But as mentioned I don't understand how the Rams will manage their cap. Is the plan to shoot for the moon now? Are they really that close? It's very early but I just don't trust Jared Goff to take the team down the field in the final minute of the NFC Championship Game.

The Rams will have around 100 million in cap space next year.

Getting Suh on 1 year deal was brilliant, he will be inspired to play, no long term commitment, and if he walks he get another 3rd round pick.

the more and more of these questionable character guys the rams bring in, the more I'm beginning to believe they are going to implode ...

I don't think the Rams give up a high draft pick without having a contract extension first worked out with OBJ.

IF they do bring him in that makes a shit-load of new alpha dogs in that locker room. With a young QB and a young HC that could make for a messy season.

There is very little evidence from the past of teams buying a SB roster.

Anyone citing the Rams having 100M in cap space so it's all aight is probably also playing with monopoly money :dhd:

If they stagger these extensions properly, they can make it work. Whitworth and Sullivan both come off the books in 2020 (total of $20M, likely to age out at that point), freeing up money for Gurley. Others (including Barron's $9M) come off in 2021, freeing money for Goff.

Odell is highly unlikely at this point, but I doubt the Rams will let his contract demands be the reason (unless he sticks to his desire to be paid QB money, which is silly). Nice to dream about, but then again I didn't think Suh was a real possibility either.

Hmm... okay? Gonna be real interesting if they sign Beckham and then the contracts of Goff, Gurley, Donald, and resigning of Beckham all hit... good luck managing that. Guess Talib can just get released next year.

Beckham IMO is a locker room distraction and wants way too much money. I don't really get this move by the Rams. They have a very young team they can build around. All depends on what they give up for Beckham. If it costs them a 2nd rounder this year to try and make a run, I say go for it and let him walk after.

Personally I think the Rams are a few pieces away from a Super Bowl, but who knows.

I was wondering the same thing. How are they going to pay for all these guys.

Rams seem to be going all in. If they get OBJ then I think they have to be considered favorites in the NFC for 2018.

OBJ is clearly going to Cleveland for a 2nd round pick.

Seems like that every other teams hope, too bad we have a professional in that field that can deal with "attitude" guys by the name of Wade Phillips. I mean surely these are bad character guys, surely someone can show me the police blotter on these guys.

Never happen
The Rams 23rd plus isn't even getting it done apparently

Tongue in cheek, but Jarvis Landry is doing his part to hype it up i guess.

You would think the Giants would be tempted to pounce on the Rams 5 sixth round picks. I'm thinking it's just a matter of time before they give into temptation. You can get 5 more players.

You shouldn't need to worry about Goff, you got bigger problems, like how to deal with the Rams defense and how to protect Wilson

That's been a theme for us the last 2 years... Our line hasn't been good
