Don't know. I'd ride him into the dirt if I were them, but Bayern mighta had something to say on that.

Not Bayern Munich, but more the German National Coach who would prefer Germans getting playing time with some big tournament coming up this summer ;)

There's a big soccer/football tournament coming up this summer? Why is this the first I'm hearing about it? ;)

You probably told me that before, but not being sure I asked the question.

Oh no problem... I mentioned it early on in the thread I think.

In order to have an interest in pretty much any sports or league, I need to have a rooting interest. I can't watch just to watch.

A few years back I picked Schalke as my Bundesliga team... In EPL I'm an Everton fan (Have been so a bit longer as I have been into EPL for a longer stretch of time). MLS I'm a Philadelphia Union fan, etc...

As this season has gone on, I've REALLY enjoyed watching Schalke play, which has energized me a bit more as a Bundesliga guy I guess....

Man, and the schedule REALLY lightens up for Schalke over the next 5.... I know winning them all is never a safe bet, but very possible.

Looks like Coman may be out for the year for Bayern. Ankle surgery. Won't affect Bundesliga but UCL it is a big loss. He is better than the aging Ribery on the left now but looks like it will be Ribery the rest of the way.

Is it my imagination or has Coman been invisible this season?

I wouldn't call him invisible. He has good knack of creating options for other players. Better than Ribery on the left now. He just needs to be a better finisher. 9 goals and 5 assists in all competitions. Wasn't getting much playing time with Ancellotti this year and gets about 1/2 the minutes or less with Ribery there. But he gets the UCL starts now. It was when Ribery got hurt and he got multiple starts, that helped Bayern turn things around. Only 21, I think will be a key player long term and by next year a full time starter.

Good info on him and other Bayern players. I was right about the finishing skills:

Which is ok if he stays healthy (unlike the last few seasons), but if he goes down........

Still hearing a lot of noise about Lewandowski leaving this summer. I hope not. I heard he got into a scuffle with Hummels last week. They are mentioning Real or Chelsea. Then I read articles how Bayern would never let him go or unless there is a huge offer...but still basically Bayern controls the decision. But what do you if he is disgruntled? Hard to let go of the best #9 in the world...albeit aging one and how would you replace him. Maybe they can pry Werner from Leipzig lol.
