LOL

Gotta love how bitter it makes everyone that the yankees are the underdogs

I stopped reading at "they have a $200 million payroll", that figure is only currently off by about 43 million

People are gonna have to accept the reality, when the Yankees were spending more than anyone, it was "World Series or Bust" and everyone else were the underdogs

Now that the Yankees are projected to spend around $70 million less than their division rivals, the same rule applies, the Sox now sit where the Yankees always did

Sorry

And the Yankees are not underdogs this year. They're projected to be one of the best teams in the league and for good reason. If anything, I'd say they're the favorite for the AL East though it should be a tight race.

Hard to be projected as the underdog when your name is the Yankees and you just went to the ALCS the season before.

On a side note, did you know that in 1993, the team with the highest payroll in baseball was a Canadian team?

And guess which Canadian team won the World Series in 1993.

Funny how that works.

TIL the team with the best odds to make the World Series in the AL is an underdog.

Yankees and Expos were on a collision course in 1994 before the strike

Expos had some great players come through there, shame they never made it to the mountain top

Actually, I was talking about the Blue Jays.

Highest payroll in baseball.

World Series Champions.

The Yankees didn't have a monopoly on that formula like many accused them of having.

Yeah, the strike of 94 pretty much fucked baseball in Montreal forever.

The Expos had some really good teams in the mid 80s too.

Gotta love how ignorant Yankees fans sound trying to peddle this "underdog" narrative.

I stopped reading when you ignorantly claimed the team with a 200m dollar payroll thinks they're the underdog.
