@MHSL82 , I know how you are yearning to say the Magic Words after the Golden State win, but you just can't say it.

They weren't the defending champs.

Unfortunately, your excitement will have to simmer.

Maybe soon we can make your excitement volcanic.

Good find, and appropriate thread to put the article in.

I wish it didn't focus so much on a 7 game sample size.

I do like how they mentioned O'Neal.

It looks like Rubio, Gobert, and Favors are playing like they had the potential to play, on paper.

I don't think Rubio is a good halfcourt point guard. That's when he makes mistakes or gets forced into things.

But if the defense gets stops, then Rubio can do what he's better at, fast breaks.

They'll still need another halfcourt ball handler. I though Hayward was the team's best ball handler over the past several years (including better than Trey Burke and George Hill).

But moving forward, it's increasing the likelihood that Rubio, Favors, and Gobert will be kept together.

Maybe trade Hood for the right halfcourt ball handler if Lindsey can find one. If not, then keep Hood too, unless someone makes too expensive of an offer in RFA.

Then just sign a different player in FA, even if that player is expensive, if he's the right fit.

Lowe articles are usually good, but I didn't learn that much this time.

Crowder is a better fit here than in Cleveland. Even though Crowder played with Thomas in Boston, I think having Thomas in Cleveland hurt him.

I haven't watched O'Neale play much, but I agree with what the article is saying.

I still think Ingles will go into another bad offensive stretch this season. I don't think he "downloaded" (as that article says) anything or learned anything.

I'm a little more optimistic that Rubio has permanently improved, over the course of the season.

I like those city edition jerseys, and the court. It's so different, it's good.

And a good contrast to the normal cold colored Jazz note ones.

You're just hating on Ingles because I refuse to jingle when he makes a clutch shot. I'm not Jinglin' Joe.

You finally answered my questions about whether you Jingle, from earlier this year!

You're not supposed to Jinglin' Joe, you're just channeling his Jazz orchestra mastery that he is displaying when making the said clutch shot.

If you channel it, then you will get the same feeling he does at that moment.

Between not streaking your hair, and not Jingling, you aren't showing much spirit today.

Great article.

I didn't realize it was that big of a turnaround. It didn't feel that way to me. Last year's Miami team felt greater.

I guess this turnaround hasn't been on my radar, until now.

I hope I did not jinx it. I am blaming the author or you if things go south. Just kidding. I planned the author.

The Jazz Are The Best Team In Sports.

The uncomfortable silence of Kawhi Leonard

DURING A STOP through Los Angeles at the beginning of April, a reporter asked Popovich which organizations he admired when he first started coaching.

"Utah Jazz," Popovich said. "I thought from top to bottom, it was a classy organization. You never heard anything out of there. Nothing negative. Kept their business to themselves, they worked hard. No showy stuff. They just did their work and they went home."

Thanks @MHSL82 for pointing out that Todd Gurley thinks that The Jazz Are The Best Team In Sports.

Mitchell may have bouts of inefficiency, but it's good to see that he's the type of person and player that others want to play with.

I get the feeling that if Gurley was playing in the NBA, he'd want to join the Jazz because of Mitchell.

This news both belongs in this thread, and in the "MHSL82, why didn't you tell me this" series.

Hopefully Smith is upgraded from "select games" to "all games".

++++++++++++++++++++++

Utah Jazz drop full broadcast schedule for 2018-19 season

Also — Michael Smith, who played college basketball at BYU and spent time with the LA Clippers broadcast team after his playing career, will join the Jazz as part of the team’s pre-game, post-game and halftime shows for select games.

We don’t talk about BYU here. And that’s why I wouldn’t tell you. Plus, I didn’t know. It might be a blasphemy to you, but I didn’t know who Michael Smith was besides the description in your comment.
