i dont think it is fair to call Homer Al Bundy, when they were basically created at the same time... But they are ALL based on the honeymooners... and i am sure there was something before the honeymooners that they were based on...
Well..when a character starts out one way, and changes after a few seasons to closely resemble another that is very popular, on the same network no less.. You kinda gotta go..hmm...whatever, stupid debate that has obvious right and wrong that I'm done debating because its stupid..so let's move on

well, I'm not sure Urkel deserves a montage, he was basically a one line site gag. But, he did pretty much carry a show for at least 2-3 seasons longer than it probably should've been on air

I never watched the show myself, but any time I saw commercials for the show it was always Urkel on display.

Back in that show's hay day, my younger sister absolutely had to tape the run of shows on TGIFriday...mainly Full House and Family Matters, and then she'd have to watch them all day Saturday, over and over and over...pretty sure there's more than a few VHS tapes with worn out footage of Urkel and the toddler Olsen twins scattered around my sisters basement

I watched Full House on occasion but never taped it. But my childhood was more centered around Power Rangers & Teenaged Mutant Ninja Turtles. Because of childhood sports my tv-viewing was based off of what was on TV prior to school every morning. I didn't have time for tv after school. My parents allowed me to watch whatever I wanted while I ate my Cinnamon Toast Crunch every morning.

step by step was a weak imitation of the brady bunch... still loved it though... But my favorite show from TGIF was clearly Boy meets world... Had some classic episodes

Never watched that show. I was busier self-training to become a better ninja than the Green/White Power Ranger. My wife harasses me all the time about having never watched Boy Meets World when I was a child. Funny thing is, my wife was an avid BMW watcher as a kid, and she became a black-belt in karate at the age of 12... How ironic is that???? I have nothing to show for all of my years of self-training. But I'll get there some day... some day

Was thinking I had a real sleeper to pull out but after research, found out it was an hr long show. ..... thought the character Phil was a hoot. ....

I don't think I ever watched Ed, but I do like Michael Ian Black...

I thought it was a really good show, think it only lasted 4 seasons, and had several funny characters - but for me, Phil was the funniest.
