Chloe Kim had already won gold, but she went and landed back-to-back 1080's and outdid her already the best run in the competition.

Wow, Phillipe Marquis competed in the men's moguls with a torn ACL.

I really don't know - He wasn't able to complete his run, but he was determined to compete regardless.

I understand the desire to compete in the Olympics, but at some point the returns aren't worth the investment. He could do really serious permanent damage. Unless he's definitely retiring after this, it might be better to try to come back healthy in four years.

I'm kind of surprised the Germans didn't just sweep. Because they're really good at luging.

Heck of a run for the Canadian woman, though. The announcers described her as the best luger without a medal, and she's now corrected the second half of that.

That one American had an awfully nasty crash, though. Oof. Rough day all around for the USA women's luge team, between that, the track record holder slipping right out of the gate, and Hamlin losing it out of 9 on an otherwise nearly perfect run.

Nice redemption for the Canadian gal as she finished 4th in Sochi four years ago and after her 2nd run, she thought it might be a 4th place finish again. As it turns out, she wins BRONZE!
