Something seems fishy about this one...it's a head scratcher. The following article states his father, Andre 'Bad Moon' Rison, attempted to convince his son to stay at MSU.
Hunter Rison transferring from Michigan State

It makes total sense for Hunter Rison to stay at MSU for a few reasons:
-pro type system will prepare Hunter for the NFL
-QB Brian Lewerke looks to be pretty darned good...Lewerke will probably be the starter for another two seasons... and having a stable & reliable QB is a very strong selling point for receivers
-media coverage in the B1G is significant...if Rison shines, he will get a lot of coverage.
-Rison revealed quite a bit of talent during his true freshman year....he would have seen a lot of balls thrown in his direction over the next few years if he remained in East Lansing

Therefore.....methinks something is up with his transfer decision.....I think that perhaps Rison does not get along with a key person(s) on the team or coaching staff.....personality conflict/clash.

Well the article said he felt he was the best at the position and should have gotten more time. Sounds like a kid you don't want in the locker room.

I agree.....because he would be a featured receiver getting a lot of balls the next few years if he remained........must be some type of personality conflict with other folks: coach(s), and/or teammate(s). He may be in for a rude awakening at his new school.....he might have the same problems there...he very well could be a toxic presence in any locker room.

Felton Davis was a beast and he’s coming back. He will be facing double teams and if he is as good as he thinks he is, it only means he will put up more stats. Lewerke’s eunning ability might effect his number getting called because it’s plays that can’t go to him.

Wow...another Spartans WR to transfer out of East Lansing.

Michigan State WR Trishton Jackson will transfer

With two Spartans WR's transferring out in the last few days, this could actually bode well for the Spartans to be able to land 4-star 2018 WR recruit Tommy Bush out of Texas. Tommy Bush's 3 final school choices are Baylor, Michigan State, and Georgia. Also...Baylor coach Matt Rhule's interview with the Indianapolis Colts this week could hurt Baylor's chance of landing Bush.
Tommy Bush, Samuel Clemens, Wide Receiver

So.....what is going to happen to Michigan State's athletic department now that it is known that at least 14 MSU staff members (including the university president) were told about the sexual abuse perpetrated by Larry Nassar over the course of 20 years, but nothing was done about Nassar.

I don't think this will necessarily affect the football team or rest of the athletic department outside of gymnastics, depending on who else knew. It's not like PSU's hockey team got in trouble because of the football program's behavior.

That said, the university president obviously needs to spend some time behind bars along with those other 13 individuals.

The gymnastics team should be burned to the ground. Sorry not sorry. Anyone involved should be investigated to determine just how much he/she knew or was told and punished accordingly. It shouldn't stop there either. If more was covered up at the national/international level then that needs addressed as well.

Could affect the other sports just because of the amount of money MSU will likely pay out in court.

Nassar was employed by the Michigan State athletic department (not the gymnastics program) and treated & abused athletes from various MSU sports.... this is not just a gymnastics thing (it just happens that many of Nassar's victims hail from the sport of gymnastics because he is a pervert who seems to prefer tiny/petite lolita-type girls, but he assaulted athletes from other sports too).

This is an MSU administration problem on numerous levels, well beyond the scope of gymnastics, including the still serving university president, Lou Anna Simon.... Simon is also the current Chairperson of the executive committee of the NCAA. I anticipate Simon will lose her job as MSU president very soon, perhaps even today.

Some folks are calling for the entire MSU athletics department to be completely and permanently shut down due to its inability to protect athletes, and turning a blind eye to the monster Larry Nassar for 20 years despite being told about him.

See my post above (post #2538). This was beyond gymnastics. Larry Nassar abused athletes from various sports. Nassar was an MSU athletic department employee, not an employee of the gymnastics team.

Fire Simon, arrest her and anyone else who helped cover it up including the coaches of all the teams that complaints were brought to.
