Whenever anyone says anything about another individual or about the quality of another individual, or what they're doing, I think the first thing to look at is the substance and gravitas of the source that speaks. Just stopping at that point would tell you that you don't need to listen or go any further. It's just another fan in the peanut gallery with an opinion, which is meaningless.

"Luke [Walton] has been schooled in this game from the time he was a little kid. And he doesn't even know what he knows probably, just by osmosis, whether it was living at home, [or] in school as a player. He's had tremendous experience. As a player, he wasn't the best athlete in the world. But those are the guys that sometimes understand the game better because it comes a little tougher to them. They understand what wins and loses, what they have to do to get an advantage and really understand the game, which he does. He inherently understands the game, and not everybody does. And then the icing on the cake, he gets to spend a few years up with Steve [Kerr] at Golden State with a great organization, and a great group.

"So, he's way more than ready to handle this situation. But it's a situation that's gonna take time. It's a process. And it certainly doesn't need any outside chatter from people who don't have a clue and haven't gotten over themselves."

I have left it intact as I cannot make it sound any better

Gregg Popovich explains why what LaVar Ball says about Luke Walton is ‘meaningless’

Gotta love Pop.

This, imo, is part of why the Lakers not responding to Lavar on this or any future shit he spews, is exactly the right approach.

Some of the most respected coaches in the game are taking care of defending Luke for them.

By staying quiet, the Lakers remain above the fray and above Lavar. They stay out of a "he said/she said" game that they can't win.

And they get to see some of the most respected coaches in the game, verbally bitch slap that idiot.

Only coach of a rival team that I actually have ever liked - I want to hate him being the enemy, but just can't:lol:

Here in Dallas, Carlisle can't stand that doofuss LaVar and was defending Luke. Basically saying that if the media would cooperate, he would disappear like a fart.

Yeah, a lot of folks, especially media types, got their panties all twisted because Carlisle called them out and they were saying that he was suggesting they side with coaches.

What he actually said (once he cleared it up) was basically, "consider your source." If your source is a loudmouth, blowhard...he's probably not credible.

I think Walton's a good coach. Lavar likes to bite off more than he can chew. The Lakers miss the playoffs again this year more than likely but I think under Walton they'll end up becoming a good team again.

Everyone knows Lavar Ball isn't credible. He doesn't get airtime as a basketball expert. He gets air time because he is a loudmouth blowhard and for some god forsaken reason people want to hear what he has to say.

The sports media took it the wrong way - because Carlisle basically slammed them for giving Lava a platform period. Their defense was that what the prick has to say is news. Popovich cleared that up nicely - Not it's not.

In my opinion, Luke Walton is already well liked and respected by the other coaches. The Lakers really don't care about what the dad says, but are concerned because they are worried about the affect it will have on Lonzo Ball. The problem is that the Lakers have not won any games this year without Ball in the game - According to ESPN. I'm not sure but I think the Lakers may have got a win early in the year without Ball, so now the question is do the Lakers trade Ball or continue with the experiment - If the Lakers could get back a really good point guard, back or this summer along with trading Deng with Ball - the Lakers would be in a really good position to sign three superstars like Miami did when they signed LeBron
