Not exactly "coming soon" but after watching a couple episodes of Cardinal I have to say I'm impressed.
Season 2 is off to a good start. It kind of has a season 1 True Detective vibe to it.

Coles notes?

You want a spoiler?

I think the number is 90% of global garlic supply is grown in china

Peeled clove garlic is the most lucrative

No one globally can compete with the largest chinese exporter of peeled garlic

Why?

they openly use prison labourers who work 16 hours a day -longer if they dont peel their weight quota

The process of peeling garlic involves hand soaking the garlic in water

After a while the prisoners lose their fingernails

Hidden video showed a group of prisoners putting the garlic into their mouths and peeling the garlic/pulling the roots out of the garlic with their teeth

Theres one on the honey industry that is just as nutso. While in some respects it puts fear of the food supply in your mind, the series is more about the underlying greed and corruption in some of these industries. It is also a good motivator for those who want to take up home gardening lol

Wait, why would anyone buy peeled garlic? Asking honestly.

This. Life-changer. Only problem here is I gotta buy in store during the winter :(

not sure what the allure is for peeled garlic :noidea: they didnt explain it in the docu

Ive had a home garden for a few years now ... I made a deal with my dad after his tia in 2010 when he slowed down his gardening ... i would plant radicchio if he would come over to my house and tend to it lol

I like radicchio but I'm the only person in my family that does. I'm sure your dad loves the tending though - god knows the only time my father is sane is when he's inspecting his tomatoes.

Take up canning and build a root cellar.
I grow mostly peppers, lettuce, cucumbers, parsley and tomatoes. Other than the tomatoes I don't think that'll work? Unless I'm wrong...

parsley you can freeze in an ice cube tray...last ya 6 months.

Depending on the type of peppers, you can roast them and then can em' and they'll last a year.

Cukes...pickles of course, but that's about it.

Technically you can freeze lettuce too, but its uses would want to be confined to soups er casseroles...something cooked.

And canned tomatoes are probably my favorite thing to put up. Even canned homegrowns taste better than the shit at the store.

Lettuce is my big problem. I really don't trust wherever they're coming from or have been.
