He better keep his mouth shut or the Steelers could punish him & trade him to Cleveland. And he don't want that.

He just wouldn't play......

oh... wait, he'd fit right in..... Scratch that!

Jags gonna win. Big Ben with 2-3 INTs, Bell with a few fumbles.

This would be a lot easier if we would just pay the man. Look at his production this year. 2nd straight year with over 1,200 rushing yards, career high in rushing TDs, career high in receptions. We obviously need the man so pay the man.

Lol... as if Colbert or Rooney give a shit. Just for saying this I hope they do tag him.

Could it be possible they tag him, hope he just holds out and not retires, then trade his dumb ass???
It would suck for him to just walk with nothing in return.....even if at this point it's a matter of the pecker head just needs to go away.

Talk about shitting bricks, some of you need to take a deep breath and stop whimpering. Regardless of what happens, the team will be fine

Yeah he isn't leaving Pittsburgh for free. Not the way he's acting. He'll get tagged and then encouraged to shop himself. He'll earn more money (Somewhere else) if he goes nucking futs in the playoffs, and wins MVP, too.

And Pittsburgh just bumps RB another notch or two on the draft board.

Most talented running back in the league and it's not even close.

Most selfish and stupid running back in the league and it's not even close. (Okay, that's an exaggeration, probably)

He says this shit now? NOW?

Casserly went off on Bell this morning on the Fan and I agree 100%. Like Bryant this kid is a supremely talented... turd. We won't be better without these two but I may actually like the team more regardless.

I think PIT has been more than fair with their offer (reportedly $12 mil per)...if they're are making him the highest paid RB in the league...that's paying the man imo.

I get it, he catches a lot of passes too, but he's not the only RB to catch a lot of passes. No NFL team that's worth a damn is going to pay him $15 mil per....that can't.

Great player, leaves a lot to be desired as a person...I hope he gets paid the money he wants on the worse team that can afford him.

I'm fine with players wanting the max contract and if that means leaving to get it...thanks for what you gave us, and keep it moving. But to say it's not about the money and then you spew this shit? WTF does he take fans for?

GTFO Bell.

Well said.

Thanks...Just sick of Bell's BS. Don't tell me it's not about the money, and in the next breath say I just want to be paid what I'm worth...then it IS about the money. Dumb Fuck!

At least Bryant has made his point, he's playing better to back it up, but most importantly...he has STFU about it....I'm sure he was asked a question most likely, but Bell can't leave it alone.

And if the Steelers didn't offer to make him the highest paid RB in the league on a long term contract I might be more sympathetic. But they did. And it's not nearly enough. He gets an offer to be the highest paid RB in the league (maybe ever?) and he acts insulted and won't shut the fuck up about it.

We get it. You want to be on a shit team that is devoting 4X what everyone else is to the position. Well, that's not going to happen here so don't let the door hit you in the ass you stupid shit.

Ugh. Why is this even a topic two days before the playoffs start for us? Why? Because: Bell.

He's missed about 25% of the games the Steelers have paid him for to date.

He's been here since 2013. The Steelers have played in 4 postseasons including this year. He missed two of them (so far).

And the one year he played in the postseason so far, he got a groin injury early against NE. Barely played.

He's a tremendous player, but he's not on the field enough, and not on the field in crucial playoff situations to dedicate so much of the salary cap to.

I'd rather have a lesser player, getting paid less, who will be there for the team.

I wouldn't franchise him...I'd leave the same deal on the table...let him shop it and if some stupid front office wants to give him $15 mil per on a long term deal...have at it.

I would like to see Connor paired up with a RB like Sony Michele if Bell is gone.

GTFO Bell.

You really think we cant afford to pay him an extra $3-$4 mill a year to keep him around? Do we really feel confident in James Conner right now to just let Bell walk? Surgery to repair a sprained knee will affect Conner in a negative way. I can't say that I'm okay with our RB situation without Bell. We go to the draft and it's a hit or miss on RBs this year. Two really good ones and they will be gone way before we pick. And forget going to Free Agency. Only FA RB I'd sign is Carlos Hyde and he didn't even break 1,000 rushing yards this year and he's not really a receiving back so we'd have to replace Bell's receptions and the only WRs I trust right now are AB and JuJu.

3 Pro Bowls in the last 4 years and the only reason it isn't 4 is because he was injured and only played 6 games in 2015.
When he went down in the AFC title game, we were completely done in offense.

2017 stats:
3rd in yards
3rd in rushing TDs
6th in receiving/rushing TDs
3rd in yards per game
2nd in all-purpose yards

I mean come on now. Great player that's better to have on your team than try to play defense against. Pittsburgh is in the same situation as Washington is with Kirk Cousins, you need the man so pay the man.

After taking a deep breath I think the reporter was going for click bait during a quiet week. You can only write about the Jags first win and speculate how it translates to the playoff so many times.

Bell should make himself the head and shoulders MVP of these playoffs, if he wants paid that much. If and it's a BIG if, he can do that the Steelers would probably bump up their offer some or a lot.
