It's not the coaching, it's the QB. Seattle fans are just not willing to admit that Wittow Wusty Wilson has no fucking idea how to read a defense and step up INTO the pocket to buy an extra second or two and hit his 2nd or 3rd option. Unless and until he does that, there is no combination of OL's and coaches that is going to make things better.

Too many of you have fallen in love wit Wusty's school yard broken plays for large gains and and ignore that he sucks otherwise.

Add in Pete Carroll's undisciplined program and you get what you got. No playoffs.

This might be the dumbest thing ever written

Fuck.

Just read Dallas is interviewing Tom Cable to replace their O-Line coach who was sacked.

Likely sacked because he couldn't get the O-Line to keep Prescott from being sacked.

So they court Cable who couldn't keep the Wee One protected.

Fuck.....

I thought this might be coming. Cable blocked for Linehan at Idaho back in the day so they're probably pretty familiar with one another.

Actually Pete and Schnieder have the final say. That's why I said they need to burden a lot of the blame.

Bottom line they make the decisions on coaches and players. How much to pay them... They set the tone for day to day ops as well as the discipline for team infractions. Ultimately they are to blame for the product you see on the field each week.

When it comes to o-line players, it was Cable's call. Pete and John can override that call but they trusted the guy to build and coach up the line. Yes, they have to shoulder the blame for Cable's inept coaching ability, the offense slow start and signing Blair Walsh. Overall, I have faith they'll rewrite some of the wrongs and put a product on the field next year to compete for a SB.

Difficult to scan a defense when the d-line is in the back field in about a second. Now i'll admit RW does get happy feet a little to much at times and takes bad sacks when the o-line actually blocks but that timer in his head is constantly going off cause the o-line crumbles about 95% of the time. To say he sucks is a bit of a stretch.

My point was/is as you mentioned JS and PC can override Cable.
As for competing for the SB? That will be a tall order. Lots of coaching changes, some vets likely departing due to injury or contracts. Limited picks. The stars on D are a year older. Definitely an uphill battle.

Believe me, I wish they did override him or fired him years ago. Tall order yes, but if McVey can turn a crappy Fisher team into division champs then I don't see why new coordinators with fresh eyes and schemes can't do the same with Seattle.

Time will tell. You should be able to get some good odds in Vegas pre-season.

Feels like he would be Bevell 2.0 for the Hawks but I get why Pete would be interested since he wants that control the clock with the run game, make a few plays in the passing game, and play great defense model.

I do agree that this feels like Bevell 2.0. However Pete is going have the team runned his way and in fact his way has been pretty successful. Success is going to depend on better results from the OL.
