Big get for Chipster and the UCLA Oline. 4-star OG Chris Murray (Santa Ana, CA) has committed to the Bruins.
Offers from most PAC schools, and ND, Louisville, TCU, Miss St., and Vandy.

Either the candidates from the list the AD had dwindled quickly with phone calls or someone from the short list has already agreed. Heard while Zona set a target date of the 16th to have HC ready to announce, appears it could be coming by this midweek.

As expected.

Cool beans . USC now has more 5 stars(2) committed than 3 stars (1) so that gives them the second highest star average in the country behind only Georgia who has six 5 star players.
Georgia 4.07
USC 4.05

There was zero doubt USC was going to finish first in the Pac in the coming class.

The key thing is how bad overall the Pac's classes are.

There are only 3 teams currently in the top 35, more or less the top 25 (247). Now we can expect UCLA and Stanford, as well as a couple of others, to go higher up the list when they reach LOI day given it appears several aren't full or close to full yet. Still, for a conference that finished as badly as it did last year and with some of the lackluster coaches coming in with this crazy off season, adding in lower ranked classes than every other conference (at least right now) in the P5's doesn't bode well for bouncing back.

Oregon State running back Ryan Nall to enter NFL draft, forgo final year of eligibility

Smith has reached out to Nall to gauge his opinion on current players on the roster, Nall said. In a statement, Smith called Nall "an outstanding young man with a tremendous future." Although Nall will never play for Smith, he indicated his desire to support the program through its latest transition.

"At the end of the day Oregon State will always be my home," Nall said. "I'll root for them and I'll always bleed orange and black."

THAT'S the kid i will always remember…GL2U in the NFL, maybe you'll hookup w/ Mannion. That would be the start of a hellva team right thar!

I wouldn't expect to hear anything definitive until maybe early next week? :noidea:

You would hope he gives them enough time to replace his scholarship for next year before LOI day, but you also want to let the dust settle a bit after that disappointing loss. Immediately bailing kind of looks a little bad doesn't it? Maybe he has already told his coaches of his plan and is just holding back on public disclosure until that dust settles.

I won't believe he's coming here until it's official. Lots and lots of smoke, but nothing I've seen directly listed to something he has publically stated.

It makes sense since he would be close to home and would have the current QB leaving just before he's eligible to play after sitting out a year for the transfer rule. His family and friends wouldn't have to go far to watch his home games. And if he's anything near as good as expected he's likely a one and done no matter where he goes so I doubt it shakes up too much of the QB room with worry about getting a chance to start with him there.

At the end of the day though, we don't know what he's going to do until he does it.
