Thinking you're wrong certainly doesn't mean I'm bent out of shape, dial it back a bit. UCF was a nice story this year, but they're not an elite team. If a team like OSU is playing at the top of their game, UCF wouldn't be close. OSU would wear them down in the 2nd half with depth alone. Congrats on beating Auburn.

Nobody said UCF was an elite team. But Ohio State is not an elite team either. I'm over this conversation. This was a hypothetical discussion that went from fun to just annoying. You seem do to that alot. I'll remember that for next time.

In what fucking World would you think Ohio State would play there best game? You smoked an MSU team with a horrid offense. You beat an overrated USC team but you should have beat by more. You beat a good Penn State team and in the process gave up 38 points. But yet Ohio State would beat UCF by 5 touchdowns? Bahahaha they couldn’t do that vs Indiana, Army or UNLV but they’d do it vs UCF?

Michigan State had a top 5 rush defense and top 10 total defense in the nation this year, and that was including the OSU game where we put up 335 yards rushing and 48 points. UCF did not have anywhere near as good of a defense playing worse teams. Nice narrative on how evidently two top 15 teams should be cakewalk wins, but they were both better wins than UCF's best win.

UCF's "strength" is their offense (even though the only time they faced an actual defense was the bowl game when Auburn didn't give a shit). OSU has an elite defense as well as an elite offense. Yes, if OSU is playing at it's best, UCF would struggle to score while OSU would cruise offensively.

Not once did I say UCF had a better win than Ohio State. An yes UCF defense isn’t close to Ohio States. But spare us the BS 35 point victory. You beat a Michigan State team that refused to play offense. In the nice win you had against PSU, they still managed to score 38 points on you.

How in the heck are you saying OSU has an elite offense when half the season you guys were calling for your qb to be benched? You have got to be kidding me if you think OSU plays their best game or OSU would roll to a 5 touchdown victory of the UCF.

I can say it's elite because it was elite. There's a difference between being elite and being championship-caliber, which they weren't. Barrett was far too inconsistent, and was limited as a passer. There's a reason why people in Columbus are so much more excited for next year than they were for this season. We're going to have arguably the best backfield in the nation next year, we still have tons of talent at WR, and now we're going to have a QB with the talent to get the ball to them more efficiently.

We beat a Michigan State team that had a top defense by scoring 48 points on them, and that was by using our elite run game. UCF had the 65th best run defense in the nation. We would run all over them and control the clock. It's far from BS to think we'd beat them by 35 if we're playing on top of our game, as I said.

Saying they were elite does not make them elite. Just an FYI. An no, you won’t have the best backfield in the country starting a new qb. Spare us the homer BS.

You beat Michigan State with a solid run game but also because their offense was shit. Sure UCF defense isn’t as good as MsU’s But their offense is far better than MSU’s. To think first that Ohio State would play their best game and then to second that they would beat UCF by 35 is complete nonsense. But then again that’s my opinion. Just as your have your opinion.

LOL ok dunce. They were 4th in total offense and 6th in scoring offense, FYI. How am I a homer? We're returning one RB who had 1400+ yards as a true freshman along with another that just had 1000 yards in 2016 and 10 TDs in 2017. How many teams will return two RBs next season that have 1000+ yard seasons under their belts? Oh yeah, we're also bringing in the nation's #1 APB and two more top 10 RBs. I never said it's a guarantee that it's the best but it's unquestionably in the conversation.

Jesus Christ, pay attention. I've said it now multiple times. IF Ohio State is playing at the top of their game, they'd win by 35. I never said they'd win by 35 no matter what.

Here’s a news flash Ron Swanson, UCF is statistically better in points scored and total offense. So UCF is a better offense than Ohio State. Does that make them elite?

You are starting a qb that has started one game ever next year. Yet you think you have the best backfield in the nation? That’s what makes you a homer.

An Jesus Christ you pay attention. I’m arguing no matter how Ohio State plays they aren’t beating this UCF team by 35. UCF’s offense is not MsU’s.

LOL comparing playing in the AAC to the B1G. Grasping at straws now.

I'm not including the QB in the backfield part, I'm talking about the stable of RBs. Sorry if that wasn't clear. And yes, if we can beat MSU by 45, we could beat UCF by 35.

LOL at pulling out the conference affiliations as a means of desperation.

Will just agree to disagree on all points.

Seriously? How is it not? UCF went unbeaten playing in a conference that is largely devoid of NFL talent while OSU went 11-2 in a real conference. If you can't tell the difference, I guess I'm wasting my time arguing with you.

According to the AP poll they both beat the same amount of ranked teams. An stop pretending like OSU’s regular season schedule wasn’t 75% garbage. What’s aids you in SOS is your last two games.

You can’t proclaim your teams offensively elite while saying a team that has been statistically better isn’t. Especially when You both beat the same amount of ranked teams. An OSU only played one more than they that finished ranked.

Actually UCF beat 3, but beat Memphis twice. Also, UCF beat teams that finished the year ranked 10, 21, and 25 (x2). OSU beat teams that finished the year 7, 8, 12, and 15. UCF's "best" win (against a team that didn't give a shit about being there) would've been our 3rd best win, and all of our wins were top 15 while only one of UCF's was even top 20. If you can't see the difference there, I have nothing left to say.

But that also doesn’t instantly make you a 35 point better team.

Still can't refute the facts in the other thread, I see. Welcome to this dead conversation. Maybe go back and look at what I originally said to get some context.

Yes I know if your team who is known for being flat in games every single season played a mythical perfect game in your mind, they win but 1 bagillion points. The problem is every season your team doesn’t show up for at least one game and is flat for half the season. Would Ohio State win in you mythical situation probably, and if they lost you would throw out excuses on why they lost like every time and be like “they didn’t want to be there”. It’s your opinion they would win by 35 points.
