So will Jalen Hurts transfer or possibly change positions?

4 down is sensitive, you should know this by now.....

If you can watch that kids release and the way he throws the ball and not realize he's a special talent, then you plain don't know what you are talking about.

Meanwhile, the true freshman QB just made a play to win the National Championship that many QB's in college can not make.

He has great vision as was on display in the NCG. Our offense literally opened up and turned into a completely different offense when he came into the game.

But I guess he's either pro-ready or just a running QB.

I happen to think those 2 will battle it out. Both look to be better runners, than QBs at this point. I thought the 2 look similar. I happen to think a lot of it was some adjustments and a little excitement for fresh blood. At a minimum Hurts should let the spring play out, if he doesn't, he should call Texas
I heard that the coaching staff at AL had been talking all week about putting Tua in the game because they knew Hurts could not throw them out of trouble. Hurts didn't seem surprised or disappointed Tua came in. He actually commended it, and him. Yeah, I think Hurts could make a great back for ALa, he could really play any position. He's as strong as an Ox.

I say he moves to another position, (RB) and he get's into the NFL that way!
I mean let's face it he's at Bama to get to the next level so why not work on another position now......
He might could be another Bo Jack.

It's impossible to see Hurts taking another snap in Tuscaloosa barring a major injury to Tua. He's an elite athlete but far from an elite passer. Honestly, he has a lot of Braxton Miller to his game. His best bet would be to transfer out to a team that will run a spread and allow him to pass occasionally but showcase his athleticism more.

He should just switch positions and get ready for playing in the NFL. He won't make it as a QB.

We all had heard about Tua when he committed to Bama. Jalen had a special 2 years, but he will not look past a quick second read nor will he throw a ball into a tight window when he has too. Too quick to tuck & run. He just isn't the passer I had hoped he would turn into. Bruce Arians wrote about a young QB should have a good vision of the field by the time he enters college. If he didn't have it by then, then he probably wasn't going to be a NFL prospect. Tua has good vision already, he will get even better with time & experience. I feel bad for Jalen, I'm sure he'll make a great decision that will be right for him if he chooses to leave. I hope he stays & if he doesn't play QB, I hope they find a place for him.

Tua & the freshman team won that game for us last night. The defense did it's job, but unless it was going to make some defensive TD's, it was all on the offense to get points on the board. Turnovers helped fo sho

Was it just me or did both defenses do a good job of taking 1-2 receivers away all night? All the QB's in the game had to look further down the progression to find targets.

i think the biggest irony was his refusal to run the ball (until the very end) against Clemson last year.

He had multiple opportunities for big gains on the ground and instead stood out of the pocket, looking around and getting hit, or making bad passes, or even running out of bounds on one play.

I worry that Tua is getting the Garrett Gilbert hype we saw after his relief performance (ironically against Bama) in the title game...but it's clear that he can make passes that Hurts can only dream of making. And just the threat of him making those throws let the Harris Bros. (I know they're not related lol) run wild in the 2nd half of the game on Monday.

I'd pay money to see anybody other than Hornibrook behind center at Wisconsin
Makes me happy they didn't make a strong push for Burrow when he was coming out of high school.

Speaking of Burrows, Gonna be a tight QB competition in Columbus this spring

3 legit guys have a chance at replacing JT

I love Burrow but I think he has too big of a hill to overcome. I think Martell will get legit playing time this fall in sub-packages, but Haskins will be the man. I could easily see Burrow transferring down to Cincinnati to play for Fickell.

That injury really did fuck him. He looked like butter when he did see action last year. I'd be happy if he got to go play for fickell.

Me too. He has legitimate NFL talent, he just hasn't had a chance to showcase it.
