VT is a Top 50 team. They aren't crappy

They're kinda crappy. They play no defense, can't rebound, are reckless with turnovers, and can't do shit on offense unless they are hitting 3s. With the way they've played so far, they aren't making the tournament unless they A) stay on an extended hot shooting streak or B) Up their effort level and stop being so sloppy. If you can't make the tournament, you're crappy in my book

Sure, but I just think it is too early to declare them a non-NCAA tournament type of team.

It's not about how you start, but how you finish. Definitely haven't done alot in the NCAA tourney. They just went through the toughest part of their schedule for the year. All of their losses have been to good teams. Who are they gonna replace Hamilton with?

FSU is a football school. So as long as he keeps doing pretty good and recruits well, they are not going to change anything.

Probably when he starts fielding terrible teams. That hasn't happened yet.

Hamilton has a .500 ACC record at FSU. FSU isn't a school known for their hoops.

I can't stand Leonard and I question how much basketball knowledge he actually has. He has yet to show me he knows how to draw anything up against a zone defense. Stan Jones runs practice and often times Leonard is nowhere to be found. Don't get me wrong he is one hell of a recruiter but as far as actually coaching these guys he's absolutely terrible. It comes down to what FSU values and unfortunately being a football school they will settle for mediocrity as long as he keeps bringing in recruits and flirts with/makes the tournament on a consistent basis.

NCSU beat Clemson last night. Have a good feeling about Keatts.

I will say this though, the cupboard left at NCSU was at the very worst decent. Talent wasn't the problem for NCSU the past two years. It has been coaching.

Keatts has some dudes on that team. Sat in on one of their practices at the beginning of the year. He will have them consistently in the tournament again. Doing a great job recruiting too. As of right now he has a top 25 class coming in next year.

Some background info on this kid.

He remained uncommitted until late in the spring recruiting period of his Sr year, and NCSU offered him late. He was ranked as a 3* 175-200 type of prospect during this time. He quickly jumped on the NCSU offer and committed. Days later, UK offered him as they had whiffed on a couple of prospects. As soon as UK offered him, 247's lead basketball guy, Jerry Meyer, upgraded Kirk to a 4* top 75 type of prospect, and said that "Shaun Kirk has always been a Top 100 prospect". :pound:Kirk remained loyal to NCSU and basically did nothing for them through three years. He is now going to finish out his basketball career on the D-II level. This is why you don't take Jerry Meyer and 247 seriously. The best thing to ever happen to 247 was CBS buying Scout.com. Evan Daniels is great at his job, Jerry Meyer is not.

Apparently, Boston College landed Top 100 4* Jarius Hamilton earlier this week. Hamilton is from Concord, which is right outside of Charlotte. BC is doing a good job of landing NC kids, but Bowman and Robinson were both under the radar. Hamilton isn't.

Jim Christian has done a good job injecting talented players into that program.

I'm assuming both Bowman and Robinson come back, and along with this get, BC should be a tournament team next year. I'd even say they have an outside shot this year. Just need to pick up a couple road wins(but the schedule is manageable) and take care of business at home(again with a manageable schedule).

Christian has a team full of 3 stars and has done really well. Seems like he was able to point out who was underrated coming out of high school.
