I like that Cowboys fans assume my comment was negative. There's nothing wrong with giving guys an opportunity to redeem themselves. I think some teams are too quick to take players off their board because of allegations of impropriety or mistakes by teenagers/young men.

This is the Cowboys board, right? I'm not singling anyone out. There are plenty of teams who will take players off their board for bad behavior. The Cowboys don't seem to be one of them.

kids will be kids but grown men **cough** michael vick doing what he did and being welcomed with open arms, that is not questionable that is some sick shit. drink up eagles boys.

Check out what mr. immaturity did this week. total jerk
should be an interesting game this week. Patterson went off at his Tuesday press conference talking about how Mayfield threw an over thrown pass that hit a TCU player in the head as they came out on the field during warm ups. He talked about that happening a lot when the OU head coach and Mayfield were at Tech.

Good Luck OU
Big 12 National Champions would be great!
I'm guessing OU will be the 2 seed, which would likely put them against Georgia in the semi's. That should be a great game

Georgia has a LB that that is amazing. With all of their skilled position talent, he is the fastest player on the team. He was everywhere yesterday. 3- Roquan Smith.

After watching Dak regress I am having serious doubts that Dak can be a franchise Qb. Even before the left side of the OL imploded I noticed Dak was not accurate. I watched some Baker Mayfield and I come away impressed with the accuracy and he reminds me of a romo and brees.if I am Mcclay I am at least considering Mayfield at 19. This season Dak left a lot of meat on the bone. Dak obviously is not able to throw a receiver open, and Baker does it with regularity. I also like the fire baker plays with.

He is an interesting guy. He has a very good arm, but in watching OU play, their receivers are always running wide open. Dak has shown the work ethic and commitment it takes to succeed in the NFL, Mayfield has a lot to prove IMO. If the Cowboys took Mayfield, it might be what he and Dak both need....a guy behind Dak that will keep the pressure on him to improve, and a guy in front of Mayfield that he would be wise to emulate in being a Pro

I'm biased of course but OU would be 5-4 without him. His accuracy and arm strength are as good as anyone. He will be a good pro in the right situation. The white Russell Wilson
Baker reminds me of romo or brees. Mayield is not the running threat wilson is. Mayfield is not fast, but is good at moving around the pocket. Cowboys need to seriously consider Mayfield after the season Prescott had.

He won't be there at 19.

He will if he doesn't hit 6'1" at the combine...
I think there are too many teams looking for a QB. Mayfield looked good in the bowl game.
If the top 4 QB's are Rosen, Darnold, Allen and Mayfield, there are too many teams looking for a QB:
Browns, Giants, Broncos, Jets, Skins, Cardinals and any of the other teams that may surprisingly take a QB.
You are right, the combine could change things for worse or for better. I wonder if any teams have moved Darnold down the list of top QB choices. I have. He looked like crap in the bowl game. He needs another year in college.

Throwing a WR open is just a fancy way of saying throwing to a guy that isn't open who fights the defender for the ball and wins the battle makes the catch. Our WRs don't do that. If you watched NO yesterday you saw a few of those plays. They happen a lot of times when the receiver is running at full speed or up the field where the defender can't look back for the ball. The receiver looking back, locates the ball and adjusts to make the catch before the defenders knows what is going on. Not so much anything special the QB does. Or a back shoulder throw, which again only works when the defender is doing all he can to catch up instead of running stride for stride with the WR and able to turn and locate himself

Cousins and Bradford/Bridgewater will most likely fill two teams QB need. Other teams will shy away due to his height.

By the way, I'm one who isn't intersted in Baker because of his height especially at 19.

I'm not interested in Baker at 19, but it has nothing to do with his height, I think enough QBs have shown that to not be a huge hindrance if the other abilities are there. Two of the top 5 QBs in the NFL are 6'0" or under.
