Now we get to really see what type of team Cleveland has.

Meh, they'll have the same team they have now.

Runners up. Only this time with a shorter pg.

:heh:

Will be interesting. I actually think removing Tristan from the lineup and going small gives them a better shot at defending GS.

I would hide IT on Klay if I'm them. Guarding Klay he isn't asked to do much on the ball defending. Just more going through screens and etc.

Good for IT coming back... I'll always root for him... (anytime they aren't playing Boston, anyways)

But I'll call it now: he was a better fit in Boston than he'll be in Cleveland... and he is a liability on defense (especially come playoff time) no matter what jersey he is wearing.

Stevens tailored... tailored... an offense and system around IT that featured his strengths. I'm worried that the IT we got to know in Boston is going to be (at least to a certain extent) lost in translation in Cleveland. He'll still score, and Cleveland's offense should be more than fine... but I don't see an advancement against the best teams in the league.

Agree.

He was so effective last year because he dominated the ball.

He won't be able to do that with the CAvs.

But, the year they had Turner in Boston shows he has a willingness to be a co-creator on offense.

So, I think he will be fine. Plus, he's auditioning for his next team and needs to show he can still hit shots at a high level.

Playing 6 on 5 is the only thing that will help his defense.

I think the CAvs will be in the same position they were in last year.

They will win the East and get destroyed in the Finals.

That is a good strategy, but I think the Cavs might need 7 to be legitmately good on defense.

Brad Stevens must've been consulting for the Kings in 2014 cause apparently he deserves all the credit for IT's success in the league.

Like Gman i want the best for IT. IT is a dynamite player and especially as a sixth man or an alternative to LBJ in crunch time. I think he can make a difference. But in a long series against larger guards, he will get iso'd on d alot

On D, he's no different then Curry. the Cavs really need that other scorer who can get 40 when they wanted.

The Cavs are definitely going to be better this year than they were last assuming everyone stays healthy.

Looks like we are headed toward round 4. I know most people hate that, but I kind of love it.

I am 50-50 on this. I do think this is the Cavs best year to win another before the slide starts.

He could be the best 6 man for the next 5 years if he stays healthy

I guess you're trying to make a point, but...
  • In '13/'14, IT scored 20 pts a game on a SAC team that won 28 games
  • In '16/'17, IT scored 29 pts a game on a BOS team that won 53 games
If you don't think IT made a significant jump in this league between the two, I don't know what to say...
